Condo Close to Everything with AMAZING Views

We always love to stay at Camelot By the Sea in Myrtle Beach. Right off the beach and walking distance to everything you would want to do.

Spring break

Convent to everything we wanted to do. In rainy days we enjoyed the indoor pools hot tub and lazy river. The view was amazing and was able to have family meals at a table.

Great location! Easy beach access and walking distance to several restaurants.

This condo has been updated and is very comfortable. Comfortable beds, clean unit, well stocked with normal kitchen utensils etc.. The kitchen faucet was not fastened correctly and was very loose, but this was reported to the realty company that handles the property for repairs. We were very pleased with our stay.

Decent

Things that could use improvement: A new sleeper sofa. This one is broken down. Dishwasher doesn’t clean well. Our floor hadn’t been swept or mopped upon arrival. No fitted sheets on the bunk beds. Things we loved: The location! The view! Privacy! Response from Elliot Beach Rentals on text line. Coffee shop downstairs All in all it was a decent stay!

We have stayed at Camelot by the Sea since 2008 and have never had such a disappointing experience. The check in process with the property management office was quick and easy. Upon arrival to the room, it smelled bad and the floors where not clean. There was lots of sand and food on the floors from previous guests. The table had something syrupy on it and there was spills under the chairs. The property management company immediately addressed this and someone came out and cleaned the floors. They were great to address the concerns. Unfortunately, we later found that the couch had a sunken area on one seat, the main bedroom had a worn out mattress that sunk in when you lie down. It was extremely uncomfortable and I dreaded going to bed because it was in such bad shape. There was stains all over the bed skirting and the mattress pad had stains that appeared to be blood as mentioned in other reviews. The balcony door glass and mirrors in the living room were dirty as well as the shelving doors under the TV. The room had a lot of scuffs on the base boards and walls. We paid a lot of money for 4 nights and expected a clean room considering there was a cleaning fee. The view was great and the air conditioning worked great as well. The threshold between the kitchen floor and living area was loose. This room has a lot of potential to be nice. It's disappointing that the couch is worn out and the bedding was completely worn out and dirty. The owner needs to see the room in person.

Great location!

The overall experience was great. The location was perfect if you’re looking for all of the touristy things to do. The hotel also offered a lot of entertainment pool side including tattoos for the kids and a live DJ. Cons: the inside of the dishwasher was completely black. It was cleaner for me to hand wash all of the dishes than put them in there. Also, the listing shows Dunkin’ Donuts being within the facilities, which it is not there any longer and my kids were really upset. There’s also no store within the facility either but there is a store across the street.

Golf get away

Stayed at property for a golf get away 10/24-10/27/24. No big complaints at all. One of the guys said the dishwasher smelled and did not look great inside. We washed the dishes by hand. Incredible view of the grand strand down to pier 14. Huge balcony to hang out on. Great price for 3 bedrooms. Everyone had their own room. The couch bed seemed broke but was only jammed a little and works fine now. I've been to Myrtle multiple times with friends and family. I would stay at this unit again. I know what to expect at Myrtle rentals and if you expect high end then go to an exclusive resort. No complaints from 4 golfers looking to relax and enjoy the best views in Myrtle Beach. We will be back next year if the unit is available.

Camelot by the Sea, 1701

The pics of condo were pretty accurate except for the marks on some of the walls (pics did not show marks, which kind-of down graded the look of condo) otherwise very nice. Outside of Camelot (very nice), inside condo (nice), hallways (need major clean up to match the rest of the establishment). Check-out instructions asked that linens (not comforters/mattress pads) be placed in Elliot Rentals laundry bag, i never found a laundry bag. Comforters should be included with other linens in laundry (not remain on bed). Overall condo was clean, i was satisfied.

Extremely Dirty Condo and Terrible Customer service

The condo was old and outdated including mold in the kitchen, dishwasher and dishes and blood and sweat on the beds and pillows. The AC unit had been leaking prior to our arrival and when we contacted MGMT about it, they sent someone to fix it but, we're not concerned for our health or safety. The outlets and hairdryers were burnt and in Need of repairs and when brought to the attention of management, no one seemed to care. Unless you're interested in getting a sickness from the mold or other bodily fluids, I would not stay at this condo. The only redeeming quality of the place was it's location to the beach. I will not be staying at this condo again and will not use any condo that Elliot beach rentals owns or operates.

The condo’s baseboards were filthy, there were stains on the mattresses, holes in doors and walls that weren’t completely fixed. Washer/dryer was broken the whole time and they only supplied us with 6 bath towels when we had 7 staying. Had to use the facilities washer and dryer daily so we could have clean towels since they “couldn’t” give us towels because it was privately owned. Not a good experience.

Worst vacation home

This nightmare started with the booking process. Apparently our original house we booked, was “double booked,” so we were moved to another room which was not on the water or downtown as our previous house was. We walked in and went upstairs only to find empty and half empty beer bottles…some of which mold were growing in. Then by the evening we got ready to shower and go to bed only to find that none of the beds had sheets. All of the sheets were dirty and thrown in the laundry room. There were no clean towels. We had to wash our own towels and sheets, before we even go to bed or shower that night. We vacuumed the floors and swept the kitchen because of the amount of sand on the floors. Being a holiday weekend, there was no one to contact in the office…now to our payment. This house went ended up with was cheaper than our chosen house, but we were told that we would have to contact VRBO about the difference in what we paid versus the cost of the house we ended up with. Not sure if or when we will get the refund. This was by far the worst experience we have had with a rental. We will never use Elliot Rentals again!

Wildly Frustrating Experience

1st annoyance: I received so many emails from this property beach rental, and only one of them had an attachment that provided check in details. So we got to the condo and then had to walk 8 blocks to find the office to pick up a KEY CODE????? come on- just email it to me, dont give me a chore. 2nd Rage: . The Fridge, Freezer, and Oven were BROKEN. I called the first day they said they would have someone out the next day. End of the next day, no one came. I called again and was promised that someone would be there at 10am. No one came. I called about 10 times and no one would pick up, so we went up to the office (another chore to take out time from my vacation), and talked to the property manager. There was another VRBO review stating that the fridge was broken and yet this rental company responded that it was fixed. However this property manager told me they were waiting on the part. OK_ WHY WOULDNT YOU UPDATE THE LISTING???? WHY DID I SIT AROUND FOR TWO DAYS BELIEVING LIES THAT SOMEONE WAS COMING TO FIX IT???? My best friend made 8 gourmet quiches for us to eat for breakfast and they all spoiled along with all the food we brought. THIS WAS RIDICULOUS. We wasted money on the food we bought that spoiled, we had to go out to buy ice multiple times a day, we had to eat out more than we intended. AND THEY WASTED MY TIME WITH LIES. I want a discount and VRBO'ers beware.
