“Exactly what we hoped for from a beachfront hotel. The staff was attentive to every detail - well maintained, clean, friendly. Indoor pool with hot tub and outdoor pool with ample deck and lounge seating. Various snacks in the lobby through the day - popcorn, wine and cheese, and fresh baked cookies! Free breakfast included was a full breakfast and delicious. We will definitely be back. ”

“Returned 40 years later from our 1st stay, when it was in its original ocean front location, to this 2025 stay. Classic, historic, dedicated beach access, lovely grounds, lush landscaping and gardens, and a great vibe. Rocking chairs and porch swings harken back to the good ‘ol days. Wonderful breakfasts by Chef Georgia, with eclectic culinary creations. Just love this ‘old woodie’ hotel in the original classic OBX architectural style.”

“Hot water for dayz! Water pressure was fantastic in shower. Shower head was actually above my head we are 6ft tall family. Kitchen has full size fridge and freezer. Did not use the oven, stove worked great. Only complaint was the loud neighbors at night. But you can hear EVERYTHING through the walls so nothing really can be done about that. Office was open and staffed daily. We'd were able to get extra towels and toilet paper when needed. Walking distance to anything you need. Fantastic……
