Great for families and their pets!

We enjoyed staying at your home. It was the perfect location and quiet at night. We had a family of 7 and 1 medium dog. It was perfect with extra space for others if needed.

We chose this home for its location, four bedrooms, pool, and hot tub! The location had easy access to the beach and walkable to coffee shops, ice cream shops, and grocery store! It was well equipped for our family of nine! Only downside was our thoughts that it could have been cleaner! We had a wonderful week with perfect weather!

Last minute getaway

We loved the house! So close to the beach. It had all of our needs. Had a hiccup with the entry code getting in, we called the emergency number and they called back within 20 minutes with a new code. We decided on this last minute vacation and our first time renting from this company and would book again.

Great week

House was great. The great room/dining area was a great meeting point. The front porchdeck and hot tub was wonderful. The pool was the perfect size and depth to enjoy. We put a beach tent over the pool which made it much more enjoyable. Beach is close easy walk. Only downside to house and beach were stairs. If you have problem with stairs not the house or beach for you.

Great location

Our stay was fantastic.. the only reason I did not give an excellent rating was the floors were dirty when we arrived. The house needs some updating, some minor broken items i.e blinds, shower door. But again the location was fantastic, short walk to the beach, enjoyed staying by the pool, very quiet and relaxing, the hot tub was another bonus..had a lot of kitchen items. Check in process was spot on, able to get in on time, door is tricky but the instructions they sent were fantastic very detailed on all aspects of the rental, so enjoyed that we have rebooked for next year!!

Great beach house!

Dolphin Watch is an awesome house, excellent location for beach access with an easy walk to your choice of 2 public beach accesses. This is our second stay here and one of our favorites. Nice upgrades include the top deck flooring with great porch furniture. New interior floors throughout. The two bedrooms with master beds were comfortable. The living room furniture is comfortable too. Only thing that would make it perfect would be kitchen sink sink stoppers to make washing dishes and counters easier (right now they just have drains to catch any food debris) and a few storage food containers for leftovers would be great. Not a big deal as you can bro those items with you. The dishwasher, washer and dryer all work great!

Everything as described!

The house was everything we expected! Beach access is closer then expected, location was perfect for my teens to walk to the park, food, arcade. Everything within a mile. The amazing hosts also let us use their bikes that were on location. The pool is small, but we still spent everyday in it and appreciated the previous review to bring pop up tarp. Definitely needed as the pool area has no shade. 10x10 tarp and we were set! The only negatives were the satellite was in and out, never worked in the king room on the main and maintenance was not able to help. Beyond that….amazing vacation & fully plan to book this house again or book again with shoreline! Great customer service

Not clean and kitchen cooking items old

Toenail clippings in living room floor/floors in general not clean, living room couch dirty /stained, bedspreads not clean, beds on middle floor very uncomfortable, some kitchen items in cabinets wore out, coffee maker burner was almost completely burn up, kitchen table paint was coming off…therefore felt sticky and nasty. Positives - top deck was very nice where hot tub was. Hot tub was new and clean, pool was small but was clean and refreshing and the location was nice … but no ocean view as stated due to houses across the street.

Family vacation

Overall we had a great family vacation. The house is in a great location that is close to a lot of things. The beach is within walking distance for those who are physically active. We had my parents with us so we would take them by car to the public access parking lot which helped some. There are multiple stairs to get to the beach which was difficult. They had to ask permission from the people staying at the house directly beside the public access if they could use their walk way which was through the sand. When we first arrived at the house there was a strong smell of animals. This is the first time we took our dogs with us on vacation so we did not know what to expect. I think the house could be a little cleaner. There are urine marks on the floor and on the couch. We sprayed the whole house with Lysol and Funkaway spray which did help. None of us were comfortable sitting directly on the couch so we used bed linen to cover the couch. This helped tremendously. Once we cleaned on our own and it smelled better it was a little more relaxing. There are a lot of stairs do consider this if you are talking older people with you. The kitchen was great and full y stocked with pots, pans and cookware. The washer snd dryer were very helpful. Dryer takes a little longer but this is expected. The vacuum on the second level was broke. The pool is small but served it's purpose. I would recommend taking blankets with you for your own comfort. Overall we had a great family vacation!

I want to be fair and the house is decent, close to the beach entrance and the main area upstairs was a good place to gather. Hot tub is nice and on the top deck right off the living room/kitchen area. Kitchen was not well equipped, main table was sticky, peeling paint and in terrible condition and the sofa should be thrown out. Sliding door was almost impossible to open and close, fan over kitchen table was rusted through. Many of the fixtures are old and beat up and the pool is super tiny. Biggest issue was the A/C was not working on the top floor for the last couple of days. We called in and they sent a maintenance man fairly quickly but he really couldn't do anything. Next day the A/C company came out but said that the whole unit needed replaced. We were there in July with mid 90's and heat advisory with no A/C. Temp in the house was 80 degrees. Was told they would bring a portable A/C unit but it never came. I understand that this is an unforseen event but there should be better contingencies for your guests. No one ever followed up on this and really I feel bad as the next renters probably had to deal with this tood. Overall very dated house in a decent location, but no help when we needed it.

We had a great time! Your friendly assistance when we needed to ask a few questions was a big help. Also your timely follow ups were a plus - not too many and not too few. The view and location was ideal.The air conditioning was working properly throughout our stay - which is a big thing for me personally. The only suggestion my family has to make (and probably because our stay comes at the end of the season) is that the sofa, chairs, bed covers and kitchen table (sticky) were not as clean as they should have been. The furniture was soiled with spots due to wear and tear for the season. I suggest new furniture purchases before the new summer season. Otherwise,I had no complaints and was happy through our week.

Loved the house

We loved the house and its location. But, upon arrival, I had to double clean due to Covid. It was not deep cleaned, as promised. The counters weren't wiped off and the bathrooms weren't cleaned. The floors were not swept.The dryer took forever to dry and the kitchen faucet leaked water. It seems the only thing the cleaners did was drop off clean linens. With Covid, this made me very nervous coming to a house that was not cleaned. After traveling 9.5 hours, cleaning twice was not on my list.

A bit older than the pictures. Not exactly what we expected.Pros:Recently paintedNice laminate flooring (no carpet)Spacious, open upstairs with partial ocean viewNew KeurigOlder washer/dryer, but they worked well.3 bedrooms on the middle floor, one a master suiteImmediate responses to problemsOur mini labradoodle loved it!Cons:Not as clean as we hoped. I vacuumed under and behind tables and under the couch (not including pic of that!).A dog house, so furniture is stained.Bottom floor with laundry had no bathroom, so my husband on a cane had to go upstairs from the pool.Pool has a major leak that we had to check each day to open hose for more water (The pool guy was great, though, and came more often.) He did say the owner will fix it end of season.Some small interior fixes needed.Hot tub on deck by road. Way too visible. Clean and checked twice a week, thoughDeck furniture moldy, so we didn't use the deck at all.Overall, we did have a restful stay during all the bad weather.

Great vacation home

We were very impressed with our stay! The kitchen was very well stocked, much better than I anticipated. Location is great, short walk to the beach. Also having the private pool and the hot tub was perfect for the days we didn't want the sand. It was the perfect house and location for our 3 family vacation with 11 people total. Would stay again in a minute!

Spring Break in Nags Head
