"The room was clean not very spacious for two people. Great AC and access to a private bathing room. The breakfast was good and inexpensive. It was in a great location."

"Comfortable and in a good location. "

"Loved the whole place."

"A stay here offers far more than luxurious accommodations; it provides a deep connection to timeless Japanese culture. If you are looking for an authentic escape where you are treated with genuine warmth, effortless grace, and meticulous attention to detail, this ryokan is an absolute must-visit. Would return in a heartbeat."

"I liked everything about this hotel and will definitely book again next time."

"Wonderful hotel! It echoed the area of being nature driven, hotel staff were really helpful and accommodating, I couldn’t critique if I tried!"

"Was the worst night’s sleep I had in Japan on my honeymoon, the bed firm, the sheets thin, the shower claustrophobic, the TV in our room was 16 years old, it did not support WiFi let alone streaming apps. The “breakfast” is just a cup of coffee, a salad consisting of garnishes, and a choice of a dollop of jam, beans, or egg salad on lightly-toasted buttered bread. I implore you to stay somewhere else."

"This is one of a handful of classy historic hotels near major rural attractions in Japan. A real old fashioned high-end style and treatment that makes you think you're in the 1930s. The location is convenient to the Nara Park where the historic attractions are located. It is not in walking distance of either train station."

"Kind staff and great location, close to many sights in Nara."
