Property was well maintained, clean and good location. Bathroom gets flooded tho when taking a shower. Had breakfast buffet at the market restaurant,coffee is 5 out of 10 for flavor, egg station was good but i dont think its worth $35 each person. We got our bill and 15% tip was not shown to us until we got the final bill after we added another 20% tip. Talked to the manager and nobody even apologized. Not sure thats how they do their gratuity?! But it was a relaxing stay!

The Staff was so nice and kind. The hotel is beautiful. However, the rooms was not as clean. The floors were dirty. Surfaces were sticky.

I was very disappointed with the housekeeping department. They did not clean my room for 3 days. Terribly BAD! I went to verbalize my concerns to the front desk and asked if the hotel staff clean the guest room daily. They stated sometimes. Horrible service, a Motel 6 provide better service

When we first checked in we were put in a room that was not supposed to be given. It was filthy and was stripped down, no fitted sheet, no hairdryer, no coffee maker, iron, ironing board. The floor was filthy. We talked to the manager and she put us into a nicer room that was clean with everything it should have. We were moved to that room later in the second day of our stay. The property and staff were both very nice and accommodating.

There were issues with the toilet in the original room we checked into. It was made for a midget. The seat was so low to the floor that it was unusable. Management WAS helpful in locating another room for us, however, this room was not properly stocked with toilet paper, wash cloths, hand towels or any type of cabinet in the bathroom to place toiletries on. THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE SAFE. It was taken care of however.

Astronomical prices for an average hotel. The bathroom wasn't super clean and it was super uncomfortable. What is worst that hidden fees were held from my account without my authorization or any logic behind it. We are talking about almost $400 held in between 2 days besides with no prior communication or explanation. The people at the front desk were dismissive. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here.

Staff was very nice. They have food options , i hate how expensive it was but that was for all of the food all over the island. Nice pool, and good view of the beach. The only thing i did not like was the traffic is busier during the day due to the cruise ships and them being able to buy day passes to use the beach …. but oh well. it was not horrible but more people when the cruise ships come in for sure. the housekeepers remember my name which was cool and when they saw me they said good morning miss taylor , which shows that they pay attention. the food in the hotel is also good food so it was worth the price in my opinion. on a busy street **** you do also have to pay for parking it is 35$ a day. mcdonald’s and dairy queen right across the street if you want faster cheaper food option. they do a 400$ hold on your card also for food and drinks. if you do not use it you’ll get it back. i think i had to pay extra for each day i had room service. not 100% sure on that. there is a lot of different categories on the receipt.

Overall we had a nice stay. Spacious room with large bathroom. Had signed up for an ocean view king with a balcony … which we had. But you had to be standing to see the water from both due to high windows in the bedroom and a wall around the deck. Oftentimes long waits at the front desk and mixed messages depending on who you spoke with. Our daughter, son-in-law, and 5 and 7 year olds visited the hotel from their cruise ship one day, which happened to a coincidence. A day ahead I asked the front desk what the charge would be, as we knew the hotel charges for non-registered guests to use their beach and pool. We were told that there would not be a charge for us because we were staying at the property and guest passes would be issued for them. The morning before their arrival, I went to the front desk to pick up these passes and was told by the associate on duty that this was an error and that I would be charged. I was then directed to the woman at the gift shop who would take care of these passes. She indicated that children under 12 years old would be free. She then proceeded to take me and three other people out to a small office by the beach to have the person there handle the billing for the passes. I understood, of course, that the hotel must control use of their beach facilities due to the number of cruise ships arriving daily at the nearby docks. I ended up paying for two adults and two children. A disappointing mess for certain. Food and service very good overall.

We had a standard room, queen bed. The room was quaint with a large bathroom. Very clean, unfortunately no balcony but the windows did open. The hotel is absolutely stunning (and if you’re an OG 007 fan, you’ll notice a few filming spots) it has a decent size pool and a lovely beach. We stayed from Thursday to Saturday and didn’t have any trouble securing a shaded chair, until Saturday afternoon, when it got busier. Short walk to explore downtown and to Junkanoo Beach, we ate at the Salty Crab and the cracked conch was amazing! The beach was very busy as it was Sat and a lot of people from the cruise ships spend their day there. Staff at the Colonial were so friendly! A huge perk was that we were able to store our bags for the day and still had access to their beach!

We’ve stayed in Nassau over 30 times and our first stay at British Colonial. Our check in experience was horrible with very poor customer service. Once we got to our room, we called for wine glasses to be sent up and they said they didn’t do that. We had to go to the bar. Other than that the rooms were great, the bar staff was excellent. Grounds are beautiful, beach and pools are great. Everything was very clean. Check out experience was quick and the different staff made all the difference. I believe it was just one bad apple, I wish I had gotten her name. We will stay here again and hopefully they’ll be more accommodating at the front desk.
