Hotel website does not itemize room amenities in enough detail, our 1st room specified king bed with kitchenette (no mention of cutlery or plates etc.) however there was no table and chair to eat although misc. pics portrayed them - had to upgrade to a larger room + extra cost to provide this. The hotel is “well worn” with various “needs maintenance” subjects -(1) pool water not clear more foggy, one pool ladder with only 1 step set so high you coul pull your groin getting out, inner edge of pool looks dirty with scum (2) two room drain plugs broken (3) low water pressure in shower , bathroom floor tiles chipped (4) coffer maker missing slow drip component (was replaced with new). Had to pay for some water. Staff were great very accommodating, friendly and helpful special thanks to Pam and Alex. Plenty of bath towels provided but had to sign out beach towels….why? Felt safe on the resort and Nassau in general. Several very good restaurents near by (Spritz & Poop Deck) + grocery store walking distance. The private beach was so so - nice sand, aquamarine water with rock shelf repeating ok for snorkeling but difficult for swimming.

The lagoon area is great for swimming and not having to worry about what the sea is doing. There is a beach on the Caribbean about a 3mon walk. Expect lots of kids. You can take public bus to Nassau in about 20-30 mins- costs 1.50 a person. Taxis are 30-40$. Several restaurants close to the hotel- food on the island is expensive for why it is. Expect 15% tip and 10% vat added on- this is what makes it more expensive. We liked thy we were away from Nassau- busy from 7am till 7pm when the boats are in. Overall great stay- we have been to several other islands in the Caribbean to scuba. We did this with our teenage sons since they do not scuba. They had fun. We had fun. What more can you ask for.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Diverse Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Cafés wie Restaurant per Fuß erreichbar. Wir hatten ein 3 Bett Zimmer aber immer nur Handtücher für zwei. Wir müssten jeden Tag nach ordern. Insgesamt waren wir mit unserem Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden.

Sandyport was a great stay overall. It’s very family-friendly and the rooms are spacious, which made it really comfortable for our trip. I felt safe the entire time, and the location was super convenient with nearby restaurants and stores. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming, which definitely added to the experience. The only downsides were that the property is slightly dated and I do wish they had a gym on-site. Overall, it was affordable, relaxing, and a solid choice — I’d rate it an 8/10

Pros: Good balcony with nice lagoon view Hammocks were amazing. Lots of lounge chairs. Easy walk to beach Pool seemed clean Housekeeping was good. Cons: Room was in terrible shape. Dishwasher falling apart and not properly adhered to counter space. Pull out bed was unusable. It was described as being able to sleep 4. We had 3 people and 2 had to sleep on the floor. The pull out matters was thin and torn. Some of the springs were missing from the support. The large king size bed had terrible motion transfer which made it difficult to share with another person. We had made multiple requests for a rollaway bed that were not responded to. The shower knobs didn't work properly and the cold wouldn't turn off. All TV channels were fuzzy, better if you use your own Netflix account. Ocean access point isn't very swimmable due to reef at shoreline. The area is not well maintained and we found many sharp metal scraps and broken glass.

Our lagoon view was of a palm tree. Our room only has air on full blast and our sliding door didn’t have a screen and I woke up one more with ants in our bed.

We loved our stay. We’re a family of three—two adults (one pregnant) and a nine-year-old—and Sandyport was exactly what we needed: small, safe, and relaxed. We stayed in a ground-floor suite, which was perfect for us. It had two bathrooms, one king bed, and a pull-out couch, and kitchen. The room was tidied every morning, essentials were restocked, and everything looked great. The pool area is ideal for younger kids—small enough for them to enjoy safely. That said, it may not be the best fit for teens, as they might get bored. A few more lounge chairs around the pool would also be a nice improvement. The beach is right there and it’s fantastic. As for restaurants, there are quite a few within easy walking distance, which is a big plus. However, the quality of food and service can be inconsistent, and prices are high for what you get. Expect fairly standard American-style menus. That said, our favourites were Mi Bi’s and Bon Vivants (drinks). The Twisted Lime and Blue Sail were disappointing. We ended up walking to the grocery store for fresh food, milk, and breakfast items—both to save money and to eat a bit better. The resort itself is a bit dated, but in a charming way. One downside was that we noticed some garbage around the property that didn’t seem to get picked up, and throughout our week-long stay, our suite’s towels were never refreshed (may be an extra charge). Overall, the resort is quiet, family-friendly, and accessible.
