“Room was very nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only downside to the room is that Holiday Inns no longer have in room coffemakers.”

“The staff were friendly, but the property is very old and has a musty smell and it is very loud at night. You can hear cars going back-and-forth. It is on a busy road. Also, there are big spotlights pointing right at the property so there’s a lot of light coming through the windows even with the curtains”

“Great property with just a few flaws. Parking is difficult to find currently with all the construction in the area (temporary) and while the rooms are nice the walls are super thin. You hear everything in the hallways and in the rooms next to you. Everything! Staff was great and while we didn’t win at the casino, it is super fun and Greektown offers tons of bars and restaurants right nearby.”

“The room was very clean. The hotel space in general seemed very clean However, the room had some weird random things- the faucet in the bathroom was loose and just kinda flopping around. The toilet paper holder was falling out of the wall. And after REALLY looking at the bathroom I noticed the trim was painted EXTREMELY messily While NONE of this was an issue with the stay - I guess I just expect more for the amount that’s paid for the room. “Great place. We booked a suite at this hotel after a bad Airbnb experience. The hotel staff was awesome. There were no issues checking-in and the place had a decent view, Quality of breakfast is good. We will book it again.”

“A beautiful and historic property that is unique and special in every way. The staff were delightful, friendly, helpful and generous. The furnishings exquisite and well maintained. There was a clean atmosphere that was a surprise given the age of the hotel, and it’s in a city that has lots of humidity where you normally would find a moldy smell there was none! Much appreciated for someone who has allergies. I wish I didn’t have such a late check-in because I wasn’t able to appreciate all that……

“First, my room was huge, about 1000 sq ft, with a full kitchen. This place would probably be better suited for long term rentals. The room was 80% clean, but the lobby was very disorganized and dirty. There was also wear and tear damage throughout the hotel, that should be cleaned and repaired. “The front desk staff were fantastic. I can’t say enough good things about them. The bar/in hotel restaurant however might have been the worst service I’ve ever had. It took over 20 minutes to get a simple drink, and another 40 minutes to get our food, which was wrong/not what we ordered. The server was very polite (I don’t recall her name), but the wait times and lack of attention to detail was abysmal. The hotel and stay were wonderful, but I would never eat or get a drink there if I come back”
