“If you are looking for a beautiful and quiet place to get away from it all this is it! As we opened the door of the cottage we were like wow this is beautiful and very clean! A tray filled with a variety of fruit and a loaf of banana bread (the banana bread was so yummy!) was waiting for us on the table as well as a welcome note from our hosts Laurel and Lani. The 8 acre site that the cottage is located on is a fruit orchard that is maintained by the hosts. A very unique cottage with a setting……

“We could have sat in the rocking chairs on the lanai and watched the changing of the view and the birds the entire time we were in Hawai'i and there would not have been a single wasted minute. Of course, we ran all over the island, always happy to return home to this cozy and comfortable farm 'cottage'. Everything was clean and in good working order -- and since I know you're wondering, the WiFi was excellent -- with a smart TV in the living room and the bedroom, as well as a collection of DVDs.……

“We were there Jan14-17 2026. It’s an older home tucked into a quiet neighborhood about 25 miles north of Hilo—so it’s a bit remote if that matters to you. We loved the location and neighborhood. As someone else mentioned, the interior has a cozy “Maine cabin” feel, but it’s nice and clean, with amenities as advertised. The deck is huge and very comfortable, with an amazing view over the North Pacific! The owners are great—very communicative and helpful. We left the doors open and screens closed……

“We arrived to a pool that was dirty and had dead frogs in it and a dead Jackson chameleon jammed in between the screen which had been there long enough to develop maggots. Ever stay in a a lot of dollar a night VRBO who had no back up toilet paper and no coffee, tea, or even a filter this is your place. Imagine paying all this money not even having enough toiletries for one night for all guests and no store Within 30 minutes to get anything from. This place once upon a time was nice, now it is……

“Truly the most magical BnB rental experience we’ve ever had. We stayed for our honeymoon and it was our favorite stay in the week and a half we spent on the islands. It was so serene and peaceful from listening to the rain and frogs at night to sitting on the patio listening to the birds and looking out onto the ocean with our morning coffee. One of my favorite parts of the treehouse was the outdoor shower with forest views - I’ve never had a more peaceful shower experience. One of my husband’s……

“The property owned by Chad and Jennifer is absolutely beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. The property is large and immaculately maintained with gorgeous landscaping and outstanding views. We saw many whales from the lovely garden. Chad was very accommodating and we enjoyed our breakfasts on the lanai. The Banyan Suite was lovely. We would definitely stay again.”
