“Everything was amazing! Laurel was so helpful and kind, I loved staying at her cute and cozy place❤️ We got a very thoughtful tray of local fruits from her and a home-baked banana bread which I thought was very cool.”

“This is a beautiful property with a fantastic host. Corinne was so kind, welcoming and accommodating, we felt we were visiting family. We enjoyed the peaceful, laidback environment, the fruits from trees, the nature night sounds, bright stars and the sweet animals. Corinne also helped us in an emergency situation; she was an absolute sweetheart. Wish we had more time to spend there. We will be back. The Hamakua Coast lived up to its reputation.”

“Such an idyllic place to stay. The cottage was well appointed, the farm was beautiful and it was so peaceful. It was lovely being off the beaten path but still close to Hilo and many sights and activities. Hoping to return to this wonderful place.”

“Perfect home for 3 couples as each have a bedroom and private bath. There was a great 6 seat indoor table as well as outdoor table that comfortably accommodated our meals together. The kitchen was well stocked with all the pots, pans, etc you need to cook full meals. The grill outside worked well for us as well. The only thing missing was there were only 5 drink glasses, so one person didn’t get a glass. The views were very nice. The bathrooms were clean and had a new feel to them with the tile……

“Host is very responsive and accommodating. The grounds are meticulous - idyllic setting. We had everything we needed! Bed and pillows were comfortable. Deck and ocean view were lovely. Parking is easy. Felt secure. Safe area that we felt comfortable walking about. WiFi good enough for business work. ”

“We arrived to a pool that was dirty and had dead frogs in it and a dead Jackson chameleon jammed in between the screen which had been there long enough to develop maggots. Ever stay in a a lot of dollar a night VRBO who had no back up toilet paper and no coffee, tea, or even a filter this is your place. Imagine paying all this money not even having enough toiletries for one night for all guests and no store Within 30 minutes to get anything from. This place once upon a time was nice, now it is……

“We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It was peaceful and a nice getaway but still close enough to Hilo. The view of the ocean every morning as the sun rises is so special. We loved meeting all the adorable chickens and ducks. The accommodation itself is simple but functional with all needed amenities. Host was awesome! ”

“Please review my email exchanges with the host, which have been removed from my phone. Four adults and four children arrived to an unlighted house in a rural like dark setting at about 10 pm with no access code and no cell service. Driving back towards Hilo we reached VRBO who was unable to reach the host. We explored all the hotels in Hilo and all were full. Preparing to sleep in our cars, we finally got a reply from the host who admitted he had lost our reservation and so had not managed for……

“This was one of the best Rental homes we have ever stayed in. It was spacious, clean, had everything we needed for our week, and was furnished as though the person themself lived there and made the home as Comfortable as possible.”

“Room was clean and comfortable. Loved the clean bathroom. Great shower with never ending hot water.The oversized mini refrigerator was great to have keep my bag of ice for 2 day as I we used it in our cooler during the day and refreshed it in the freezer when we returned. Kept food & drinks chilled. Hot coffee pot was well used for making hot coffee and tea.Room could use a few more hooks to hand clothes and towel bars. Bed was too soft. Would prefer a firmer mattress”
