「The Castañeda Hotel is a very historic Harvey House built over 100 years ago. After being abandoned for years, it was meticulously renovated a few years ago. My wife and I were excited to spend a night to experience the ambiance. Yvonne at the front desk was friendly and took plenty of time to visit and make recommendations for dining etc. All the rooms are unique and differently decorated. 「Really cool old building. Beds were comfortable and price was competitive. Would return.」

「First we were on the 3rd floor and when we entered room you could hear the people above us, kids jumping. Went back to the front desk explained how we had spent so many hours in the car and we needed to get some sleep, if we could please have a top floor room. They said of course and we switched immediately.」

「Extremely clean rooms! Comfortable beds! (and I am picky about both!) It had a “homey” feeling. This place is a rare find. It is run by a husband and wife that are very kind and very accommodating. This is my second time staying here. On this trip our group of 6 rented 2 rooms and everyone in our group enjoyed their stay. I will stay here EVERY TIME I travel through Raton, NM.」
