From arriving you are greeted nicely from reception. Having already checked in prior to arriving, made everything smooth and quick. The hotel is gorgeous, warm and good sized rooms with all the amenities you need ie hairdryer, iron and board, tea coffee sugars and milk with a complimentary biscuit. Hand wash, body wash with lotion also provided. We had a meal in the fine dining restaurant and that was absolutely delicious with all three courses. The waiting staff were always very nice, smiley and served you like you were special. The room was kept spotlessly clean for the 4nights away and was attended to every day. The grounds were immaculate and would love to see it in the summer. In all we enjoyed our stay very much and wouldn't hesitate to return again.

Imposing external hotel and location. Traditional decor and reception, with excellent check in staff. It is difficult to give any negative comments due to the very good room rate we paid and value for money overall. My only suggestion would be the library and rooms off the reception would benefit from some refurbishment, but our bedroom was large and very comfortable. We would stay here again without doubt.
