「We had a wonderful stay at Machiya Lily. Communication with Mark was excellent and the check in with Tomoko was seamless. The Machiya is very well located, close to the metro as well as neighborhood restaurants and shops. It was spotless and beautifully decorated. We really enjoyed the Japanese bath and I really appreciated the Dyson hairdryer! I highly recommend Mark’s beautiful Machiya. 」

「Nice property in a very convenient location. It is quiet, being a short distance off a main N-S street. It is a very VERTICAL house, with bedroom and bathroom, toilet, and laundry on the first floor, Kitchen, living room, and toilet on the second floor, and a bedroom, two showers (no toilet) on the third floor with an unfurnished tatami mat room. This room was absolutely perfect for 9 month old's portable crib. Kitchen was well appointed for us. Easy to get Taxi and easy instruction going...

「We had a GREAT stay! Gojo Samurai Machiya was clean,very quiet, nicely set up, close to both Keihan Main Line Railway and taxis. I especially loved being just three blocks from the Kamo River, wonderful to walk along any time of day. Akiko and Patrick's referrals (esp. from his book 100 Kyoto Sights) were spot-on. Akiko was amazingly quick to respond to questions and the office was very helpful in setting up restaurant reservations.」
