We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. We especially appreciated that the cottage was accessible for my friend who has mobility issues. The screened in spaces allowed us to enjoy the sea air without the mosquitos. The kitchen is small but functional.

We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage's screened-in porch and walking to the nearby local establishments. This was our first time visiting Ocracoke, and the Little House by the Ferry allowed us to enjoy nearly every aspect that the island had to offer. We plan to return soon!

Great place to relax. The back porch is private, shaded and a perfect place to chill. The owner was easy to work with and very responsive. The house is private, but close to everything. You can walk to shops and restaurants. The kitchen is well stocked.

Little house by the ferry

The house is tastefully decorated. Very convenient with everything you need including equipment to enjoy the beach. Very private and location is great. We love to stay here . This is our second stay here and plan to return next year.

Laid back first timers on Ocracoke

We stayed at The Little House by the Ferry for Spring Break and had a really nice time. The house was the beach cottage feel we expected from the description. The location was walkable or easy to access via golf cart any of the island but in a quiet area without foot or vehicle traffic. Our stay was cut short due to a death in the family but we enjoyed our stay very much and appreciated Marshall’s instructions and help when needed.

Home away from Home!

We had a wonderful time and this house was beautiful! The outdoor covered porch was perfect for lunch and dinner with friends. The games were great for the day it rained! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Location!

Little House by the Ferry is our favorite place to stay on Ocracoke Island! It is tucked away on a quiet street near Silver Lake. You would never know you are so close to all the shops and restaurants. We especially love the porch and the outside shower!

A great get a way.

The house was w ay better than it looked on line. Walking distance to everything. We really enjoyed the location. It was very private and quite If we go again it would be this house , but a longer stay.
