「Very well kept property in central location. More like a home than a hotel with friendly reception staff greeting you on entry and exit. The hotel used to be an old mansion and we were told it is still in the family of the original owners. The decoration is sympathetic to the age of the building but with ultra modern features. There is no bar or restaurant but the breakfast is very nice.」

「The hotel is lovely, with everything having been recently renovated. The location is excellent; the ionanian sea across the street and many lively restaurants and bars a short walk away. The two staff members we met were very helpful and personable. Coffee in the cafe is excellent too. The only downside was the extremely expensive taxi the hotel arranged to the ferry: €25 for 1 mile.」

Then two flights of dark, decrepit, and narrow steep stairs carrying luggage to unmarked doors that I only knew of from another review. 「A really good budget-conscious choice. Fantastic location right in the Old Town. A couple of very minor points though: there was nowhere to plug in the bedside lamp & a bottle opener would have been helpful!」

The property was very comfortable and clean. The internet was great. The host was very accessible through WhatsApp and they were very friendly .」
