Kapaa Opaekaa Falls Overlook Hotels

"Beautiful ocean view, some friendly staff and a good pool. One hot tub was out so everyone was huddle in the very small hot tub which was a bummer. They don’t mention when you book they are undergoing major property renovations which I understand is needed but a heads up would have been great. The noise was frustrating when we want to relax by the ocean but I understand again, a heads up would have been nice. Rust all over our room which I understand in Hawaii but if I’m paying that much I don’t like to have it hinder opening my room door. Speaking of paying many resort fees I would hope to have room cleaning daily but it didn’t happen once. My fiancé told the staff it was my birthday one night and they said room service would set up a surprise but they didn’t come into our room one time the whole stay. We also are island hopping (live on Big Island) and knew about all the rain during our stay and were excited to just stay in the room and hunker down on wedding planning. This was made nearly impossible with horrendously slow wifi. My laptop wouldn’t even connect so I had to use my phones hotspot which was very slow. When asked if we could pay more for better wifi they said there was nothing they could do. So no amenities and no wifi made this trip a little slower. Overall it’s fine but definitely overpriced and doesn’t live up to the pay. If it was a regular hotel I would love it but didn’t quite nail resort or spa so shouldn’t be advertised or priced as such."

"This property indoors is extremely humid and damp, the carpet floors are sticky and wet, it is candidly very unpleasant. The room itself had a light puke smell, and was very dank. Feels like walking into a moldy room. I should’ve realized Hilton was low quality. "

"The staff was excellent and came through in our extremely late check-in. Condo was fully stocked with cooking supplies, patio furniture, toilet paper, paper towel but no beach chairs, no beach mats, very limited dishwashing soap, one dishwasher pod, nothing to clean all the glass top or granite. Otherwise , a beautiful resort and lovely beach, walking trails. Would most definitely stay here again. Ma halo."

"We loved our stay in this condo. The park paths along the waterfront were great for walking. Kitchen was everything I had hoped for except the microwave ... too small. I could not cook a couple of travel go-to dishes because of its size. Consider removing the hood over the range and replacing it with a full-size microwave with exhaust fan. "

"This condo is the closest to the beach! Ground floor with 2 lanais. A bit aged, 1975, and the back of the house needing updating..it just went on the market when we arrived..may have sold. Full kitchen and utensils, but no condiments. Only 1 hand soap in baths. Comfortable and clean overall.Extremely good customer service from Kauai Vacation Rental reps by phone and texts! Great job ladies! Mahalo!Overall, very nice!"
