「The property is a bit dated. The carpet on stairway is frayed and should be replaced. The bedroom was tiny. The bed was comfortable. The staff seemed uninterested in checking me into the hotel, and I had wait and ask several times for assistance. Same with checkout. The restaurant’s food was good, esp the local seafood.」

「The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. I strongly recommend anyone who plan to visit any Hebrides islands, give the hotel a chance,.」

「We stayed in the garden suite and had a lovely stay for 2 nights. The room was spacious, the mattress was comfortable and the water pressure was great. The provided breakfast was minimal, but was a nice touch. We found the price a bit high for what we got (although, the price was far more reasonable compared to many hotels on the Isle of Skye) and the location was a bit far and remote, so we had to do additional driving to get to sites/restaurants, etc.」

「The rooms were clean and to be expected for a hostel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the large common area and the available bar. We were just passing through so didn't get to explore the surrounding area but there is lots to do and see. We enjoyed the available breakfast and there is a large common kitchen.」
