Great place and location

We were here for a futsal tournament which was held at the OCCC. The location was perfect for that and also eating and shopping. My only critic of this place was lack of kitchen supplies (cooking utensils, tea towels, storage containers).

Convenient to all Universal, Disney, Aquatica and Convention Center. Coffee maker and refrigerator ice water broken. Vertical blinds broken so not much privacy. Need to replenish all items used toliet paper, paper towels, soap. Kitchen minimally stocked cookware and utensils.

We have stayed at Vista Cay a number of times but this was our first time in this unit. The refrigerator/freezer was not working correctly and all our food defrosted. The maintenance team fixed it and then the refrigerator side froze all our remaining food despite being on a mid setting. The refrigerator is old and needs to be replaced. When the rain started , water began seeping in through the windows in the kitchen and the upstairs front bedroom. We had to use towels to soaks up the water and there was mold visible around the window. The TVs are way too small for the unit. In particular the living room tv is about the size a computer monitor. We had to move the sofas closer to be able to watch anything. Our stay was in the middle of Hurricane Milton as we had evacuated from Sarasota. Has we been here on Vacation I would have a lot more challenges with the unit including the fact that the community pool etc is closed for renovations but we received no correspondence before arriving or at booking. Vista Cay is still a great resort in a great location but maybe find a different unit to rent.

Family Visit

Beautiful property, it is private and yet inclusive. The Condo itself was clean, and accommodating to our group of 6. There was a lack of utensils and knifes, if you are planning on cooking, bring your own utensils and knifes, pots and pans. Also, the very upstairs toilet is leaking, so if you’re urinating it may leak out the bottom of the toilet. The hvac air handler closet room is leaking, entire room gets wet. Other than than it was a great stay.

Exceeded expectations

Our unit was bigger than we expected, very clean and comfortable. The pool and kiddie pool area were great, felt like we were at hotel resort. The fitness center was great too, ample cardio and strength training equipment. Conveniently located near a Walgreens and Publix as well, all the main attractions were within 20 minutes by car. Would definitely stay here again.

The condo definitely needs updating- the carpet is undesirable and should be replaced. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms desperately need updating. The kitchen needs to be stocked with utensils and baking sheets- did not have a pizza pan or pizza cutter. Overall- the cost was not worth what we received. Our friends stayed at Vista Cay for hundreds less and had a much nicer condo. We would not rent this unit again

Review

Property could be cleaner, there was hair all over the bathroom floor and inside the shower on the lowest level. The light switches were dirty. TV is the room on the lowest level doesn’t work. Other than that the property looked just the photos online.
