"Although this property was clean and presented well, I was disappointed after paying nearly $300 that there where no toiletries other that pump soap and no tea or coffee facilities in the room. Also the room was so hot as was the hotel itself. One plus the pool was clean and well kept. Room service was poor."

"A lovely apartment right in the centre of Bowness-On-Windermere. The accommodation was spotless, cleaning spray, washing up liquid and cloths were provided.
The bed was lovely and comfortable.
People have mentioned the stairs up to the apartment. They caused us no problem but if people have mobility problems I can understand they might be a problem.
If we return to the area we would stay here again. I am glad I didn’t book somewhere in Windermere, this was five minute walk to the lake. "

The Cottage

"Stayed in room 6 on the top floor for a romantic weekend away with the Mrs. The room was lovely and the bath was a really nice added extra. We had a slight issue with one of the radiators not heating which caused the room to be cold, however I called one of the provided numbers and an electric heater was provided within literally 5 minutes by a lovely girl working there.
Breakfast was really nice and the staff were super accommodating. I would definitely recommend considering a stay here and room 6 was a lovely room for a romantic night away.

"A really lovely couple of nights at Holly Lodge.
The hospitality shown from Kirsty and Barbara was 1st class and couldn’t have wished for a more welcoming and homely stay.
The lounge is a beautiful and relaxing area to sit and have a drink and take in the wonderful Xmas tree .
Really enjoyed the couple of visits to the health club using both the gym and the Spa which was a wonderful perk.
You really can’t beat the location of Holly Lodge, literally a 90 second walk cutting through the Sainsbury’s local car park will get you onto the wonderful little high street with fantastic local shops and fantastic restaurants and cafes. I would have no hesitation in recommending Holly Lodge for a break in the Lake District. Many thanks to all the staff. "
