"Hotel Ismael Very nice location, across from a park and close proximity to local points of interest. The room was well appointed with a refrigerator, comfortable bed, hot shower and a complimentary bottle of wine. We arrived early (like 8:00am) and our room was not ready but Diego 1 (there were two Diegos so the other was Diego 2 - at their request) asked if we wanted to have breakfast which was a buffet which was pretty well stocked with eggs, bacon/ sausage and a variety of fruits, pastries, breads, meats and cheese. We found out you could order custom eggs, but we were happy with what was available - they also had a panini machine which I used once and was quite pleased. The staff was helpful and most spoke enough English to get by. The other positive part about the location was its proximity to Latarria which is an artsy area with a lot of street vendors and restaurants. We found many delightful restaurants within walking distance. The roof pool was a nice feature but was small with limited seating. All in all it was a great hotel, nice and friendly staff and good value for money. "

"We had an amazing stay! The location was perfect, walking distance for anything we wanted to do. The room was great and the staff were very helpful. We dropped our key down a drain on the first day and they easily got us a new one even late at night. Highly recommend laying on the patio and taking a dip in the pool. The best mojito I’ve had! "

"Staff was amazing. Rooms very nice . Pool lovely . Massage took some arranging but very reasonable price by NYC standards. Front desk connected us to private tour to Valparaiso which was much less expensive than app offerings. Enjoyed neighborhood and restaurants. Expedia had discount price at time we booked— would reconsider if we had to pay full price . Lovely hotel. Great breakfast too. "
