"We really enjoyed our stay in this 1920s art deco property. It wouldnt be for everybody as it is quite quirky. If you are a lover of chain hotels this hotel is probably not for you. Are room was on the second floor facing the park and beautiful waterfall. The only window is in the bathroom which has a glass door so some light comes through. Rooms are not huge and you need to store luggage upright but no problem. The hot water takes a while to come through. The bed is huge and extremely comfortable the best on our travels. The front desk desk staff are lovely and very helpfull. They is a roof deck with bar,restaurant and plunge pool with views to San Cristobel. The hotel has beautiful tiled floors and the breakfast room is really nice. Breakfast had a good array each day. The area around the hotel is very nice with tree libed streets and cafes. " The hotel’s grounds, location and facilities (especially the pool) provide a level of peaceful serenity one does not expect to encounter when staying in the middle of a large metropolitan city. The staff were very helpful and accommodating from the moment we arrived. The room was clean and well serviced throughout our stay. Only thing my wife and I didn’t care for was the layout of our bathroom which was a bit odd, I’d request a room with an additional or sink/vanity not in the bedroom if I were to visit again and a toilet door that closed completely. The private outdoor jacuzzi tub was a very nice touch though. "

"Room was very spacious and great aircon. Staff were lovely and we enjoyed our time immensely by the pool on the sun. Great breakfast as well. Maybe a bit on the dates side and the gym was tiny with only the treadmill working."

"The staff at Castillo Rojo was super helpful and friendly - really great service orientation. The hotel was charming and the inner patio was a cool place to wind down after traveling that day. The room was spacious and comfortable. The location was good, nestled in a colorful neighborhood with many eateries and near the base of Cerro San Cristobal (a must-visit in Santiago). Didn't check out breakfast as we had a very early departure but they kindly made us a to-go bag! Perfect place to stay!"
