Charming apartment nested on top floor with views
Pros:
We loved the apartment! It is very well appointed, clean and very charming with a warm retro and artsy decor style. The bedrooms and living room are very comfortable and the kitchen was nicely stocked. It felt very inviting and cosy.
It is walkable to downtown with access to many stores, boulangeries and farmers market. Its location on the last floor offers amazing views of the town and valley, with beautiful sunsets.
It is the typical french apartment on the top floor and the pictures on the site do not give it justice.
Cons:
However, there is no elevator to access the apartment and this makes it challenging when carrying large heavy cases up a curved wooden staircase all the way to the 3rd floor.
There is no allocated parking with this apartment so one has to park on the neighborhood streets. There is a driveway with a lift barrier but unfortunately it does not seem to apply to temporary guest. I wish guests could have car access to the driveway at least during unloading and uploading luggage.
In summary, we loved the place and would used it again but if you have large heavy suitcases or strollers with young children, know that you will have to drag those through a gravel driveway and carry them up many flights of stairs.
