「What a terrific setting nestled in the mountains outside of Cartaga. The Tico style cabin had two bedrooms and a single bath with a great room containing the kitchen, dinning room and living room. I spent most of my time on the deck. Was clean and well maintained. 」

「I had a wonderful stay here! The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, always making sure we felt at home. The food was not only delicious but also very affordable — such a great surprise! One of my favorite parts was the beautiful forest surroundings, where is thewe could see hummingbirds flying around all the time. It was such a peaceful and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend! 」

「As you drive up through the palm trees, you can tell you’re in for a treat. Peaceful, beautiful grounds surround Casa Hotel Turrire- and include lovely walking trails through the jungle. The rooms are comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here. 」

「It was amazing seeing all the different birds from their restaurant patio. I saw way more kinds of birds including two tucans from here than from the actual birds watching tours. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Nice city view too. 」

「Overall excellent. Only (minor) problem was that the first night was pretty cold, and there was no heat in the room. The second night the host provided a ceramic electric heater and that made the cabin very cosy.」

「Cedrela is nestled in the mountains of Costa Rica. It was easy to navigate there. The accommodations are clean, but the standout of Cedrela is the restaurant, Al Mercat. We had a fantastic meal and ate nearly everything on the menu (advice - go with at least 5 people so you can effectively share!). 」

「This property was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful but not overbearing. The rooms were comfortable and tastefully decorated. The gardens and trails were beautiful. Meals were delicious. I wish we had stayed longer!」

「Kleines Hotel mit kleinen Zimmern. Nett eingerichtet mit toller Dachterasse. Parken nur an der Straße, wobei das Hotel beim Kaufen des Parktickets behilflich ist. Tolles Frühstück wird in einem nahen Café serviert. Alles in allem eine sehr schöne Unterkunft mit sehr nettem Personal zu einem extrem günstigen Preis. 」

「This house is truly one of a kind. It felt like stepping into The Croods (the movie)—living in a cave, but an incredibly luxurious one! The kids said it was like being in a fairytale and were genuinely sad to leave. Tucked away by the river and off the beaten path, it had everything we needed for a magical stay.」
