Melanie and Ericka were both very responsive and helpful navigating this property. The view of Arenal Volcano was spectacular and worth the winding, bumpy roads to get there. The accommodation was beautiful. We had wished to spend more time on the deck (our favorite lounging spot) and rooftop patio, but the weather wasn't very cooperative. It was wonderful to have laundry facilities available. We recommend this as a great spot if you want to be away from La Fortuna yet close to many of the popular attractions. We really enjoyed a couple of the local restaurants as well, especially La Ventanita Cafe. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Had a wonderful stay here! Beautiful view! Bed was comfy! Need to let them know when you will be arriving, which is not a big deal, but we struggled because we didn’t have cellular data and finding wifi was tricky. But that was the only inconvenience!

The host communicated with us before our arrival with good tips of things to do in the area. Her representative on site, Ericka, met us when we arrived. She was available throughout our stay if/when we needed anything. We absolutely loved the deck on the top floor suite and spent many enjoyable hours out there admiring the view.

Perfect for us!

We were looking for a place that felt more "local Costa Rican" and this was perfect. Ericka was our host and was SO knowledgeable and helpful! Wwe didnt end up doing any excurions, but she was able and ready to help us with booking if we desired as well. She did help us connect with Lilander Horseback tour right up the road, which was absolutely wonderful as well. Loved the views, and the town!

Great stay near Arenal

Loved this place, location was great for hiking Arenal, going to the observatory, Butterfly conservancy, hot springs, and lake. Erica who helps with the house was very nice and helpful with any questions and check in. The home and view are even better than the pics.

The view is breathtaking, nice village with nice restaurents and mini market, all sites to see are about 15 to 30 min drive. Its way better to stay there than any luxury hotels around.

Hard to Leave This One

I loved the look of this house with its stunning views. The space is just right for 2 adults. We struggled to find this place at night: there aren't many street signs and our phone reception went in and out. Aside from that minor snafu, the location is beautiful for people looking for mornings woken up by roosters and the birds, peaceful views of the natural landscape, and down to earth vibes. Not a party place but a relaxing place instead. We got exactly what we wanted. Even did morning yoga at the nearby wellness center! We left feeling refreshed and calm. I wish I could live there, lol.

Absolutely gorgeous views and accommodations. Guest book gave accurate recommendations of surroundings. People of El Castillo were gracious and kind. Hot Springs, massage, star gazing and tranquility. Perfect Stay.

Hidden place!

This place is quite a distance from the Liberia airport but not too far. There is no TV, the drive was a little crazy - up quite a few hills, but overall it was nice. Very nice cheap restaurant nearby.
