Great location and view

IP 202 was a nice place to stay. Nothing fancy, it is an older condo, so things are dated but functional. Great location on 2nd floor so could do stairs or elevator. Some of the outlets didn’t work- in the bedrooms only one of the 2 plugs would work.

Spacious with a nice view

Accurate listing and great location! Easy walk to and from car and to and from the beach. Comfortable and clean bedding and clean floors free of grit from sand. Bring your own seasonings and coffee. Doorknob has to be turned the right way to unlock. Overall great stay. Please tell the cleaners to shake the towels out before laundering.

Our fall vacation

Great service but dirty Condo .

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We sure loved our stay here. Everything from booking, to check in, check out and the stay. However, our one big frustration was how dirty our condo was. The floors, the rugs, the bathroom drawers, etc all felt extremely dirty. We still loved our stay, but it would have helped SO MUCH to feel like it was clean enough to sit on the couches and walk barefoot around the condo.

Reviewer Comments: the Property is in a great location, but it needs a rehab overall everything was clean besides the balcony not being swept properly, it was dirty under the balcony chairs, also in the master bedroom there was a box of old buffalo chicken wings under the bead, we found it on the last day of our stay. The sink was leaking but as long as you replace the full bucket of water it won't overflow LOL. It was one of the best vacations we've had, the only reason why I wouldn't recommend the condo is bc it needs a rehab, If the owner was able to spend less money on running their rental I think they would have. Fix the sink, get an actual set of utensils, plates and glasses that match, get a broom that isn't 10 years old. But on the other hand if it rents at the current condition why butter...

Perfect beach condo

We were very satisfied with this booking. Property management was very responsive and worked with us to modify our reservation. The condo itself was perfect for 4 adults. This condo is on the 2nd floor toward one end of the building, which could not have been a better location. We had easy access to an elevator and stairwell. The view from the unit was amazing. We could see the beach but, being on the second floor, the dune blocked most of the people leaving us with a nearly unobstructed and private view of the ocean. From the master, you get this view from both the window and patio door. The furniture is older but was clean and comfortable. The unit was equipped with everything we needed including starter amounts of paper towels, TP, trash bags, etc. The building itself is wonderful with a clean pool and hot tub area with easy and convenient access to the beach. We had zero issues with the beach service. Unit owners are able to reserve spots but we had no issue getting chairs. I would rebook this unit in a heartbeat.

2022 Family Vacation

Family Vacation

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A large extended family of 14 people. We rented three condos on the 2nd floor of Island Princess July 23-30, 2022.The Brooks and Shorey rental process and phone app worked great. Timely information. Used the app to request repair of a toilet and rec'd a rapid response.The Island Princess is not a deluxe building. The one swimming pool is too small for a busy July property. The surf was pure seaweed during all 7 days of our vacation. As a result the pool was overcrowded and hard to tolerate very long. We opted to rent pontoon boats from The Beach Weekend marina and spend two days in the clear water of Crab Island. Island Princess needs to improve the daily maintenance schedule so community trash cans are not always overflowing.Condo #202 is very worn and needs updating. Old furniture. Stained carpet. The beds & pillows are cheap and barely tolerable. The condo has zero amenities: no beach towels, no bedroom waste baskets, no extra hangers, etc... The guest room does not have a ceiling fan, so purchased a table fan at TARGET.At $478 per night, this "Motel 6 level" condo is waaaay overpriced. We'll return to the Ft Walton Beach area, but we would not return to condo 202 or the Island Princess.

I’ve maker didn’t work, never figured out the tv...toilet in guest room didn’t flush well. Called maintenance and they never came. Coffee maker didn’t work.

Fort Walton Beach May 2022

Beautiful property with great view. Clean upon arrival along with entire condo. Brooks and Shorey Resorts were very helpful and app had all information needed. Only issue was lack of dressers in both rooms. Did not want to live out of a suit case all week but no choice as no where to store clothes and closet in spare room was full of condo items.

A good stay, overall

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, our stay was delightful and a wonderful break from work. The location is fabulous, the beach service is convenient, and the property itself is lovely. Brooks and Shorey did an excellent job with communication and accommodation; the office staff was able to get us into our unit a bit early when our travel schedule went much smoother than anticipated.Unit 202 is bright, clean, and everything worked. More detergents and paper products were provided than anticipated from the rental agreement, and having groceries delivered from the closest Publix as was recommended by the Brooks and Shorey office staff was easy and convenient.The issues we had were not the fault of our rental company, nor an issue with our unit specifically. What I would recommend keeping in mind when looking to chose a property like this is there are units owned by multiple rental companies as well as private residents. So no rental company has complete control over your experience and satisfaction. For example, our weekdays were unpleasantly loud by about 8:30-9am; it sounded like the unit above us was getting new flooring. That is not the fault of our rental company, nor is anyone going to ask that this be stopped because a vacation renter complained. We also had noise and unpleasant smells from smoking of various substances in the unit below our balcony. Again, this is not an issue Brooks and Shorey could have done anything about.We enjoyed our vacation and would happily consider returning. We may see if Brooks and Shorey has units available a bit closer to the Okaloosa Boardwalk, but we also really enjoyed the general quiet of this property.

Great Family Condo

Perfect Beach GetAway

The choices were many, the selection and process were easy and the unit was what we expected. Location, amenities and accomodations were excellent. It is off the main drag but has easy access to food and any beach activities that you want to do.

Great Location and staff

Be careful with little ones around the electric sockets. I was burned using one to vacuum. The ones outside do not work and the light on the balcony doesn't work. Overall great experience just condo needs some updates. The complex itself needs to put in some type of ramp going to the best that is as easily accessed as the one with stairs. Anyone with any handicap or older guest have a hard time climbing all the steps going and coming from the beach.

Everything was perfect

Could have not asked for a better experience. Loved the keyless and no contact checking in and out. Management was super kind in calling to make sure we knew as soon as the condo was ready for us to check in. Condo is beautiful and cozy. The views of the beach were breathtaking and the apartment had everything we needed, except a non-stick pan. Having said that, everything else was so perfect that we bought one and left it there for future guests to enjoy. The beach was gorgeous, and so were our many walks on the beach. We will definitely come back!
