「Staff very friendly」

「Older hotel, but staff is really trying to make it hip. Had free ice cream one night, and a free barbecue to celebrate Canada Day. Great location. Our room was surprisingly larger than expected.」

「Excellent location right across the beach from Skaha Lake. Having a kitchen was extremely helpful for our family so we didn’t need to eat out every night. Staff were kind and eager to help- one of our teenagers broke a glass when we were out for the evening, and a staff member came immediately to vacuum and clean up the glass, which we were so thankful for.」

「The staff at the Golden Sands are great. Very helpful and friendly. The mattress of our hide-a-bed wasn't good and they sorted it out for us. The location right across from the lake is amazing. And although I don't have dogs, I love how they're allowed to stay too. I'll be back for another stay.」

「An absolute 5-star gem in the Penticton area! We had a wonderful stay at this lovely compound and cannot recommend it enough.The outdoor pool area is fantastic—large, crystal clean, fully fenced for safety, and surrounded by a beautiful patio that is perfect for relaxing. The landscaping across the entire property is absolutely amazing and creates such a peaceful atmosphere.If you are traveling with kids, the morning breakfast is incredibly convenient and takes all the stress out of your AM...

「The bedrooms depicted in the online photos do not match the actual rooms. The rooms appear to be inadequately cleaned, and some doors are missing or do not close correctly. The place struck us as unsafe, and the rooms on the ground floor didn't have locks on the windows. We ended up just packing our bags and leaving to find somewhere else to stay for the night. Losing the cost of the room was a minor trade off. I would not suggest this establishment to anyone.」
