「The room is spacious and very clean, with beautiful and relaxing views. The host is friendly and communicates actively, making the stay even more pleasant. Highly recommend!」
「There are many places to eat nearby, mini store on ground floor & supermarket just 10mins walk. It will be a perfect stay if swimming pool is not under maintenance.」
「Very large apartment, with 3 rooms, each room with own washroom, very clean and with drinking water machine, 2 parking spaces provided, driving to Gurney plaza or other jot spots within 10 mins, highly recommend to driving traveller」
「The apartment is spacious and has the amenities you will require, however, the fittings, sheets, towels and kitchen amenities are very poor.
If it were abudget option it would be ok, however, there are other newer, better quality options for less cost.」
「You would be lucky if you can even check in. There is no front desk and the property management do not pick up calls or respond to text or messages. They do not even email or send you any details. Book at your own risk! And have a contingency plan if you are not able to check in.」
「We had a lovely time at Lilian’s place following a week stay in Georgetown. Straits Quay has a quieter feel with plenty of restaurants and walkable area next to the sea. It’s further away from the central activities but not a problem to get a grab for transport. There is a convenient grocery located immediately outside the condo residence. We could also walk easily to Lotus. Lilian was very accommodating to our check in and informative about the surrounding areas. Great time.」
「-Need very skillful driver to drive through and park the car-drive way between the floor is very narrow.
-Limited parking area for the mansion one's temporary resident.

"After several years, I finally decided to come to The Lone Pine Hotel again for our family summer trip.
The concierge had changed to an atrium in the middle of the building. And the old entrance had changed to the coffee corner. It looked like a co-workers space. After I entered the room had changed in a small mirror in the corner and the big logo on the wall.
We woke up in the morning and we walked to the Bangalow restaurant for breakfast. The first looked at the difference between Asian and Western styles. There were specially made dim sum, congee and soup noodles and they had only two dishes of laksa sourced from Malaysian food. Some tables could be seated outdoors with a sand floor. Even though the rainy day could be felt beach.
Finally, it was a great relaxed place in Penang.

"The hotel is located in the town centre and is around 10-15mins walking distance to surrounding tourist spots and eateries.
We stayed in a spacious Deluxe suite which can easily accommodate 4 persons. There’s abundance of TV channels provided which is a bonus. Beds and pillows are definitely comfortable. Need to pay a couple of hundred for deposit when check in, so don’t forget to take it back. The 2 bottles of water are not free. Somehow our Deluxe room is in the adjoining high rise building and you need to walk across the carpark entrance to get into the building, my major concert is the security , although outsiders don’t have an access card, but they can still follow you into the lift and go up, and I noticed that the security guard at the car park entrance doesn’t really check on people entering the lift lobby.
The other minor issue is the quality of their maintenance works, it seems they could be more attentive to details of their work, it’s not that these will affect the quality of staying, it’s just looks odd having things like toilet seat and sockets are installed crooked/ misaligned in a so called “luxury” hotel, not to mention that the furniture are not high end “luxury” stuff.
Front desk and staff are friendly and helpful 👍👍.
Overall we had a pleasant stay, I would definitely recommend to anyone travelling to Penang."
