A slice of heaven in Provence

Our stay at this country home outside Pertuis was exactly what we had hoped for. Our hostess, Corrine, was incredibly helpful and accommodating; she was around when we needed her, but never intrusive. Her English language skills were as limited as our French, but we were very successful at exchanging important information via e-mail (and google translate). We also managed to have very pleasant and fun verbal exchanges fumbling our way through the language gap with smiles. The home was very clean and comfortable, and the surrounding grounds and region were beautiful and peaceful. The swimming pool was very well maintained and a refreshing way to end our days touring the area. If you're looking for a polished high-end hotel-style experience, this may not be the location for you. If you're seeking a soulful, relaxing country setting amidst the rolling hills of Provence and away from the sounds of the city this is the place for you.

Het verblijf betreft een zeer ruime oude wijnboerderij. Prachtig gelegen op een heuvel tussen de vele wijnvelden. Dus prachtige uitzichten, maar ook heel veel privacy. Omdat het huis aan een doodlopende weg op ongeveer 2 km buiten Pertuis ligt, is het er erg stil. Verwacht ook geen villa, maar eerder een echte authentieke sfeervolle Franse boerderij. 3 hele grote slaapkamers, 2 badkamers (konden niet op slot) en nog een los toilet, grote woonkamer met oa piano en tafelvoetbalspel. Er is wifi, maar niet in de hele woning bereikbaar. Zwembad is heel goed (ong 5 x 8 m en ongeveer 180 diep) en heel mooi gelegen met hangmatten en prima ligbedden rondom. De woonkeuken is groot en uitgebreid met losse vaatwasser en zelfs wasmachine, maar een fluitketel of waterkoker ontbrak. De beheerder is een hele vriendelijke en behulpzame dame. Het huis was heel net en schoon!! Pertuis is niet/nauwelijks gericht op toerisme. Wil je het echte Franse buitenleven ervaren in de Provence, dan zit je hier prima.
