The rooms floors were sticky with splatters of red on the floor near the bathroom door. No shampoo. Had to go down to the office to get this icky blue gel. No blankets in the room and my heater didn't work so I was super cold all night. Went to the 7-11 down the street for water came back and my key wouldn't work. I was gone 5 minutes.

I have stayed at many super 8 and similar motels (e.g., motel 6), and they’re usually all similarly ok. This one was absolutely horrible. Long black hairs on the bathroom floor, a puddle of something that looked like water, but was actually some kind of pool on the bathroom floor, dirt and dust in every corner. No shampoo, no breakfast (despite advertising “juice or coffee and a breakfast item”), not even hot water. We accidentally left clothes in the bathroom and called them about it a few hours after checking out. They said housekeeping had already cleaned the room and didn’t find them. We went back and asked to check the room ourselves and found the clothes behind the bathroom door, so that tells you how well they clean.

The hotel was ok. The room was clean enough. The bed wasn’t great, but it was ok. The shower was hot. The check in girl was great. The major turn off was the permanent homeless residents at the motel. They were loud all night. Working on bikes and whatever else without much regard for sleeping guests all night long.

Some sort of special event drove up all the hotel prices in Petaluma this weekend...so I made do with this Super 8 for $104 on a Saturday night...I think this used to be a Motel 6? I usually stay at Hampton Inn or Best Western, but couldn't bring myself to spend $225+/night for myself. PROs: -Very low prices...I think this is cheapest hotel in all of Petaluma. -Clean Room and bathroom...though very old. -Very quiet location CONs: -Smaller room -No shampoo, just one little bar of soap. -No fridge, microwave, or coffee machine. Ice machines were broken. -Older, creaky, uneven beds, at least the sheets were nice. Since this was a Motel 6 before, maybe it's about to go through major renovation? You get what you pay for.

This was definitely one of the worst places I’ve stayed ever. As soon as I walked in the room I got hit in the with the smell of smoke. It was Smokey and musty. The sink hadn’t been cleaned. It was still splattered with toothpaste and it had pubic hair. Same thing with the toilet. Pretty certain the bathroom hasn’t been cleaned overall. Now for the worst part, the bed mattress was most lumpy with deep DEEps. Couldn’t lay flat at all. The bed sheets smelled like a mix of mildew and old dog urine. It might also been the old mattress but whatever it was it was disgusting. I slept not a wink. I was disgusted. I had some Lysol wipes with me but that didn’t do anything about the bed situation. I wasn’t expecting 4 seasons but I at least expected a clean room and decent bed with clean sheets. I felt like burning everything I had with me after I left and I left fast. Do not recommend. Also the door wasn’t secure. It barely closed and I could see light shining through. Had to put a chair against it. Don’t stay here.

No towels. No soap. No shampoo. Nothing. Had to go down to office several times to ask the very friendly and helpful staff member for items. Bathroom was very dirty. Brown stuff all over the walls, that comes right off with a damp towel. Hair all over the beds. Shower was completely filled with dirt and sand. Also, only a tiny fraction of toilet paper in the bathroom upon arrival. Had to ask staff for that as well. For what I paid, it was more money than it’s worth. Very saddened that I had to go to front desk every 15 minutes to ask for something that should have been there. Shower drain completely clogged with hair too. Takes 15min after finishing shower for water to drain out.

The room we stayed in had significant damage to the bathtub, missing chunks of the tub finish, giving big rusted, rough spots. We ended up avoiding the shower all together because of it. Fortunately it was just 1 night stay. Walls in the bathroom were pretty dirty, like they hadn't been wiped down for several weeks. Room Walls extremely thin, we could here the neighboring room person clearing their throat, shifting around in their bed, and sneezing all night long long, as if they were in the room with us. The location was easy to get to, and there were plenty of convenient food places close by. Don't think I'd stay again at this particular establishment unless I had no other choice.
