“Great place to stay with only a one minute walk †o the beach across the hotel's garden. The room was fine but the tv was a bit small to watch the tennis - joke. The breakfasts were excellent and the staff very helpful.”

“Staff were nice, room was ok, mattress was somewhat soft. Bathroom ok, quite large but walk in shower a bit small, with rubber seal starting to detach itself. Sink was a little small, and the bathroon window had some mould. Location is very good, a short walk to the town centre and sea front, but parking a bit of a pain, not a lot available”

“Lovely location with available parking outside the property or on the roadside. Beautiful views of the beach out of our bedroom window. Room was clean and comfortable with the expected basics provided. Staff were helpful and informative and keen to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was a served full English which can be adapted to suit individual needs. All in all, I would recommend this hotel and I look forward to staying here again.”

“I booked the hotel as it says that it had air conditioning. It doesn’t when i asked the staff they were rude and unhelpful. This is a rundown overpriced relic of a hotel. The gentleman on reception was the rudest person i have ever encountered. Avoid”

“I loved that old cottage and am glad it is in good use. It's nicely furnished and the village where it is situated is delightful. Two negatives were the dog smell in the lounge and poor state of plants in pots. While the dog smell is probably unavoidable as dogs are allowed, the dead plants brought about a depressing impression. Being a gardener, I tried to look after the remaining plants and had to transplant one huge heuchera plants that was literally hanging in the air as its pot was……

“Jo the care taker is very nice and friendly to give whatever help and advice needed for a visitor new to the place. The room is clean and in fact the whole building seems to have just been renovated.”

“The room was clean and the staff lovely with an excellent breakfast The outside needs some TLC as grass wasn’t mown and woodwork needed some attention but inside was lovely”

“Parking is limited and prebookable at £10 a night, but there is plenty of free street parking in the area. We had a nice sea view on the 3rd floor, but unfortunately the lift only goes up to the 2nd floor. The room was compact but clean and comfortable with a nice big walk in shower. The breakfast is a buffet and was included in the price we paid. It was edible but the bacon was stuck together so some wasn’t cooked properly and the eggs were a little rubbery. Also the toaster was very much hit……

“Left stranded outside the hotel after staff forgot to leave keys, after confirming directly with the hotel manager that we would be arriving late. We never were able to use our reservation and did not stay after paying in full. I called earlier in the day to confirm, and they gave me the lockbox location and code, but upon arrival by taxi (after midnight) there were no keys in the box, leaving us alone outside with no car. I’ve requested a refund from the hotel but they have not responded - I……
