"A great place for the value and convenience. Very cute, old world charm, and a great location to take public transportation to all areas of the city. The staff was super friendly and helpful; the lobby offers cookies, fruit, water, an automated coffee/latte/cappuccino machine, and fresh popcorn. The only drawback would be the lack of air conditioning (which they warn you about); the fans made it bearable, but I'm not sure it would be if the weather was any warmer (it was no hotter than 70° during our visit, and the room got a little stuffy.) Would definitely stay here again."
"We stayed here for four nights and had a great experience. The location of this hotel right on the Fisherman’s wharf is both safe and super convenient. Our room was comfortable, clean, classy looking, and most importantly, the air-conditioning worked great. Our towels and bedsheets were addressed daily. We had quick access to public transportation, the front desk staff was friendly, and we would absolutely stay here again in the future. The WiFi was a little slow, and that was the only gripe of our entire experience. We did not have a car or use the parking garage. They also gave us coupons that we were able to use at several local restaurants, including the Fog Harbor Fish House which we loved. The hotel was also less than two blocks away from a Trader Joe’s and a Starbucks, so we were able to pick up things we needed daily with ease.
This is not a five star hotel, and I would not rate this hotel against such standards. But for what it was, which is a nice, conveniently located hotel, it met or exceeded all of our expectations and was a key component to a great stay in San Francisco."
