The manager didn't even care enough to talk with me about any of the issues we had during our stay. You would think that if a guests room was nor receiving maid service and the guest had to contact the staff multiple times, the manager would care. But not in this case. It has been five days since our check in and not contact from management. While lack of mad service and then chasing down the staff to do the normal every day things expected of any hotel, it is not the only problem with this hotel. Looking from the outside in, it looks fine. But when you have to stay there the little things add up. The bed is like 8 inches of foam on pallet, not comfortable at all. After an hour, the side you are laying on is numb, from laying on the board. The TV has a black line running from top to bottom. Just checking in is an ordeal. limited space in front, when one car is stopped no one can get by. We waited 20 minutes to go 100 feet to get to the parking garage. Talk about the mark up for the NFL draft weekend, $1,200.00 for two days. With no maid service we had to call, a lot, just to get clean towels. The furniture in the one room "suit" was actually less comfortable than the bed, one inch of foam on a board. The in room coffee pot did not work. The only good thing I can say is there was good water pressure in the shower. Of course we couldn't dry off, not clean towels. This place has delusions of adequacy.

Hotel was perfect! I especially want to highlight how one of your team members went above and beyond during my stay. I forgot to pack my phone charger and only had a USB cord, but the USB charging port in the room wasn’t working. When I called the front desk, they sent up an engineer who was very apologetic and tried to resolve the issue. When he couldn’t get it working right away, he asked me to hang tight and returned shortly after with his own personal phone charger. He insisted that I use it to charge my phone. His kindness, genuine concern, and willingness to help truly stood out. The level of care he showed was beyond any customer service I’ve experienced before.

We stayed 2 nights. First off, parking was $40 per night and it was horrible. We went there on a non busy weeknight so we were able to get a parking spot but if during peak season, I'm sure there won't be enough parking as there were only like 30 spots. And the parking spots were extremely tight, really hard to park with our mini van. We ended up just parked there the whole time and either walk or uber. The elevator was not functioning properly on our first night, after a long drive and being so tired, we checked in at 10pm but the staff didn't tell us about the elevator issue. Out of the 3, one was a "staff use" with a hand written note so we didn't get on that one, but that one was the only one that stopped on the lobby as the other two won't stop. After the door closed 4 times, we got in the "staff" one and it won't go up, it just stayed there, the buttons didn't work, we got stuck in there for a few minutes and finally got out to the lobby. Finally after we got out, then then staff told us we had to press "down" to wait for the other two to come up, if we press "up", only the "staff" elevator would stop on the lobby and the other two won't, Great, after 10 minutes, he finally told us!! The room was very small and the bathtub was moldy (there were black stuff on the tiles), no ventilation fan in the bathroom. I will NOT stay there again.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. Very nice hotel overall. We just ran into a couple issues. Despite booking a 2 queen room, they overbooked and we were downgraded to a king and sofabed, told it was an upgrade at no additional charge, but it certainly wasn't. We realized we weren't provided sheets for the sofabed, so we called housekeeping. We never received the sheets so we used the top sheet off of the king bed for our daughter. The sofabed was as hard as a rock. Honestly surprised she was able to sleep. Also, the parking lot for "larger vehicles" was a joke. The lane to get in was so narrow you almost had to go over the curb and the space in between the rows effectively trapped you. I know finding parking downtown is difficult but this was laid out so poorly. Ideal location for a university tour though! Really wish our room would have been discounted because it was definitely a downgrade, but I didn't request it as the hotel was absolutely packed.

After my first stay here with family during Pitt’s admitted student day, I’ve chosen this hotel every time I come out to Pitt- four times now? It’s clean and there is a spa-like scent that wafts through the whole building. The location in the center of campus cannot be beat, and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. The rooms are spacious, clean, modern, and very comfortable.
