"Power poll through the room

Gorgeous beach
Incredible lunch and dinner menu "
"The property is gorgeous but the staff make this hotel. Absolutely perfect service at every level, and graciously authentic. Every single interaction was a pleasure. We came because it looked beautiful but we’ll come back because of the people. We actually already came back since our first stay last week 😆 love love love it here. "

"I wanted to take my time before writing this review. My partner and I traveled to Puerto Vallarta specifically to stay at the Xinalani Hotel Retreat—the photos looked stunning. We booked the king suite for its private pool and outdoor shower, aiming for a peaceful, private birthday celebration.
We expected some bugs, as the website warns about them, so a dragonfly in our suite wasn’t a big deal. But from check-in, we noticed a foul sewage-like smell in the room. When we brought it up, the afternoon manager dismissed our concern, blaming the ocean or possibly a dead animal—off-putting, to say the least. The odor wasn't constant, but with the open-air design, it returned often. Later, we found the smell came from the path beneath our suite.
Other issues included collapsing furniture—one piece even hit me—and a mouse in the suite on checkout day. For a place marketed as a luxury retreat, these issues were unacceptable. What frustrated us most was the management’s tendency to explain away problems instead of resolving them.
Despite amazing waitstaff and a great daytime manager on 4/18, the overall experience was disappointing. My rule is: would I go back? Sadly, no. Too many problems, not enough accountability. It’s a hard pass."
"Such a hidden gem. This place is more than a stay. It's an experience. Things to note are that you have to take a small boat to reach the property so pack light. The nature and beach are beautiful. The rooms are comfortable, clean and the perfect blend of shelter and being one with nature. The restaurant on site is superb with quality organic ingredients that create art on a plate. Staff is friendly, approachable and super helpful. Can't wait to come back. "
Casa Sol Large beautiful estate ocean front, with the jungle in your backyard!
10/10 Excellent
"What could be better than falling asleep to the calming waves outside your bedroom window and waking up to whale sightings in the morning? We experienced both during our Christmas stay at the gorgeous Casa Sol and guest house Casa Luna. With plenty of room for our large family (including a playpen and monitor for a baby), each of us enjoyed beautiful ocean views, most with king beds and ensuite bathrooms. Balconies surround each house, offering incredible bay vistas and the chance to spot a breaching whale! The spacious patio provided ample seating to soak up the sunshine and gaze at stars by night. We were awestruck by the main house’s grand design, art, furniture, and décor, feeling truly pampered. We loved the fully equipped kitchen, large dining area, and the game room perfect for playing pool or watching movies. The swimming pool was always at the perfect temperature—so refreshing after a hot day in the sun. The house is a 20–30 minute water taxi ride from beautiful beaches like Yelapa and great snorkeling spots.Being close to Boca was a plus, but remember the water taxis stop at dark, so prepare for a 15-minute walk back. And don’t forget cash for the rides! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and want to thank the wonderful property caretakers for their exceptional service. An added bonus was having three affectionate outdoor pets—dog Sofia and cats Estrella and Luna. Finally, a huge thank-you to the host, who went above and beyond with her communication and hospitality"
