Drift Inn Beach is a little over two miles away, and it's a quick drive to Port Clyde, one of the most picturesque fishing harbors in Mid-Coast Maine. You'll find beautiful walks, kayak and paddle-safe escapes, a general store, an ice cream parlor, art galleries, coffee shops, bars, restaurants, and the ferry to Monhegan Island. Marshall Point Lighthouse, featured in the film Forrest Gump, is just minutes away. If you want to stay close to home, hiking trails surround the property.
The home stands in a clearing amid nearly 10 acres of spruce trees, hidden away on a child-safe, private dirt road. Three hammocks offer the perfect spot for a cool nap or reading under the trees, and the peace may only be disturbed by the birds, occasional deer, or the local turkey family on their daily walk. The large deck faces south/southwest, so you'll have sun from morning until nightfall. Two picnic tables and Adirondack chairs offer alfresco seating for your relaxing meals.
Inside, you'll find 2,500 square feet of space, with highlights including an open floor plan with soaring ceilings, stylish, modern-rustic decor, exposed beams, and pine paneling. An authentic lobster trap serves as a coffee table for wine and cheese hors d'oeuvres and a selection of books, magazines, and comics—some in French, as the owners come from France—and games are ready to entertain you for the evening.
More entertainment options include free WiFi, a TV, and a Sonos sound system. At mealtime, the well-equipped kitchen features a full suite of stainless steel appliances, and there's plenty of space around the weathered-wood bespoke dining table. The kitchen bar counter is a perfect place to share drinks and laughter.
After a day of outdoor adventures, throw the windows open for a breeze - there's no need for air-conditioning with the ceiling fans - or snuggle up on the plush sofas. Toss the day's clothes in the convenient washer/dryer, then step back outside to enjoy a peaceful evening on the deck.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
