The hotel was absolutely gorgeous, the view was exactly what I wanted from my room, the communal spaces were very comfortable and clean, the staff was incredibly helpful and understood English, the baths were hot like I wanted and super super clean, and the nearby food was so good! I would love to go back!!!
Amazing location, awesome freindly and helpful staff, great room and onsen. We enjoyed every moment there and plan to return to stay there again.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Rummet skulle må bra av en uppfräschning men supertrevlig personal och japanskt spa som skulle haft utsikt mot mt. Fuji om det hade varit klart.

Pictures on website are very deceptive
The hotel room was a lot smaller than pictured so it was very deceptive. The aircon hummed very loudly which made it hard to sleep and it also pumped out damp smelling air which aggregated my asthma. The bed was noisy and very uncomfortable, as were the pillows. The music in the corridor played loudly - thankfully it was switched off at night. The hotel itself was very dated and not at all modern like pictured.
Ooike Hotel was fantastic. We stayed in a traditional Japanese room and it was very large and comfortable. The outdoor public baths were fantastic. Really beautiful. The only thing is that this hotel is not very close to anything. It’s about 15min walk from the station and on the opposite side of the lake. There are not many restaurants nearby that open early or late so you really have to plan. Also, the local bus only runs until 5pm and can be very crowded, so you really need to plan your departure and arrivals every day. Other than that, we had a beautiful Mt Fuji view room.
Great stay, amazing views of Mt Fuji in the Annex, didn’t end up using the Onsen but looked good. Local area is great to walk around as well, close to the lakes.
Hotel staff is very helpful.location is absolutely good for access to ropeway and leisure boat cruise and sightseeing bus location. Shuttle bus sevice available for pick up at kawaguchiko station, however such details should be made know to guest. This may attract guest who feel that the place is very accessible. Some potential hotel seekers may avoid bookin ooike hotel due to location far from station.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The location was good enough but the breakfast was cheap and nasty, the food did not seem fresh or appetising
