We went during April 18-20, 2023 and had a wonderful stay at Maruei ryokan. We had a beautiful view of the lake and if we wanted to see Mt. Fuji, there is an accessible observation deck for guests. We chose the option with breakfast and dinner and it was a wide variety of fish, meat, vegetables/roots, and soup. We were always so stuffed after those meals! The ryokan had a nice shuttle service that takes you to and from kawaguchiko station so you didn’t have to walk there. We were able to catch the attractions we wanted using the bus system and Google maps for bus times. The ryokan service was always great - the staff there were always willing to help (adjusted the temperature in our room) and tried their best to communicate with us in English. We highly recommend this ryokan!

The half-board (i.e. breakfast and dinner) provided was absolutely amazing. Best sleep we had during our trip on the tatami mats. So comfortable. Everything exceeded our expectations including the staff's attentiveness to our needs. Highly recommend this place.
