“The Pickle” is your true vacation getaway, the perfect combination of comfort, convenience and natural beauty. Relax with family and friends and choose your view: an uninterrupted vista of either the blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico or beautiful St. Joseph Bay. To entice you further, the sugary white sand beach and turquoise Gulf water are just steps away. Treat yourself to spectacular views of a peaceful beach, free of crowds, with no high-rise hotels or condos in sight. This newly renovated home will have you begging to be in a “Pickle.”
Start the morning with coffee/tea on the Bayside deck, watching the sunrise. Enjoy surf fishing, dolphin watching, shelling, playing games, or relaxing with a book. Bring your hammock and hookup outside. End your day with breathtaking sunsets from one of two ocean-facing decks. Several Adirondack chairs/barstools along with a newly installed stainless steel cable railing provide tranquil and unobstructed views. All of the decks are gated to provide safe environments for the little ones (both two- and four-legged).
Ground Level: Twin/Double Bunk bedroom great for the kids, covered parking, grill, and beach access. Cool off and clean up from your day on the beach in the private outdoor shower.
2nd Level: Updated kitchen (granite countertops, backsplash tiles), newly installed wood flooring throughout; remodeled ocean-front deck with stainless steel cables provides unhindered views of the Gulf. Gulf-side indoor dining and living areas are open concept and offer plenty of seating choices. First floor Queen Bedroom has a private bayside deck and full bath, and there’s a bayside outdoor dining area.
3rd Level. Master Bedroom King Suite (private bath and balcony overlooking the ocean). A second Queen Bedroom has a full bath and private bay-viewing deck. The laundry room and office nook are also on this level.
When you return home, folks will ask you where you were last week. You can jokingly say, “I was in a Pickle.” Your secret is safe with us.

Great house! Exactly what our family needed to escape for the Thanksgiving holiday. While the house might look "old" from the road, the inside is well taken care of and modernized with renovations. The appliances are great, plenty of cookware, amazing location. I would stay here again.

Loved this house and Location!
We absolutely loved our vacation in this house at Cape San Blas. We had a family of four and my two older family members (in their 80’s) who came with us. The house is awesome, clean, comfortable with nice furniture and a completely stocked kitchen. It is right on the beach. The house had everything that we needed even things that I forgot, it had. We enjoyed the board games, we watched movies, played on the beach. We sat out on the amazing deck that has plenty of comfortable seating and had drinks and watched incredible sunsets. We drove just down the road to the state park and rented kayaks and stayed at the beach for a day and had a picnic lunch. Even my teenagers who can sometimes be bored loved this place, we had so much family time. We got donuts from the little local homemade donut place down the street and they were the best we’ve ever had. I just really can’t say enough about this house the location and our week there. Also, the property managers are super responsive and kind and we had a great experience with them as well. We cannot wait to go back!!

Exactly as Expected

Great dog friendly beach house
Right on the beach, gorgeous sunsets and easy to get to restaurants or just the grocery store and spend time on the beach. We found the house pretty clean overall, could use a refresh on the kitchen pots/pans, utensils, etc. My family all thought the beds were too firm and could’ve been more comfy. Satellite TV and Wi-Fi very intermittent, FYI. We enjoyed our family time and would consider the area but not sure about this specific house.

Special Memories
We do not take family vacations very often so we really appreciate each special one. The Pickle was perfect in location. You literally walk down steps onto the gorgeous white sand. It had plenty of room for our family which included my parents this time. It is as minutes from the stores where we purchased our groceries and fresh fish. The rooms were clean and comfortable with stellar views. Great water pressure in the showers. My only complaint would be that the couch could use a good cleaning or a new cover. It has obviously been well used. We never turned on the TVs...too much to enjoy! Honestly we would happily rent this house next time we come to Cape San Blas. Thank you for sharing this with my family and adding to our memories!!

We'd come back!
We had 4 adults, 3 teenagers and 2 dogs and everyone had a great time! The house did not disappoint and offered everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The short walk to the general store was awesome and the beach view and beach itself was top notch!

Perfect Getaway!
Our time on the Cape at The Pickle home was amazing! Besides the breathtaking views, this home was lovely, clean, comfortable and had EVERYTHING we needed!! Our trip was fantastic and we cannot wait to return!

Perfect family vacation
Cape San Blas has recently become a favorite place for our family. We couldn’t have had a better stay at the Pickle. The view from the deck at sunset is unbelievable and the location on the beachfront is amazing. An overall 10/10 place!!!
