Cutest cottage across from the beach!

Hurricane Michael washed away the original Pickels Paradise on the beach but this beautiful place just down the street survived the category 5 storm and is newly renovated and beautifully updated. It is a 1 bedroom with a queen bed and a set of built in bunk beds, 1 bath. Cozy open living room and kitchen with french doors to private patio and outdoor dining area with beautiful palm trees perfect for a hammock. Just a short walk across Hwy 98 to the dedicated beach! Enjoy the ocean breeze and splashing waves as you watch the sunset. Pets, bonfires and the relaxing beverage of your choice are all allowed on the beach. Bonus outdoor enclosed shower with hot water to wash all the sand from the beach away! Also it is very close and you only need to walk just one block to eat at Shipwreck restaurant! Come make unforgettable memories here!

The address shown in VRBO of the rental is several miles from the actual address of the rental property. On the map it shows beachfront property - it is close to the beach but across the highway a block away. The address listed should be accurate! Though it was generally clean, there was a hole in the bottom sheet, the rug in front of sink was dirty, the outdoor furniture is worn and soiled - not inviting at all to sit on. I have not stayed at an VRBO that has not provided at least a couple of laundry soap tablets and Keurig cups for coffee. There also needs to be directions for using the TV remotes - the one remote indicates DirectTV but there was not cable reception. Walking on the beach and view of the gulf were highlights of our stay.

Loved this cottage. It had everything we needed. My girls even noticed the little personal touches. We had plenty of room for all 4 of us. Loved the outdoor seating and the short walk to the beach. Only thing I would suggest is including pictures of the beach carts and accessories. We had a great week and would highly recommend this cottage. Owner was also quick to respond when I had questions prior to arrival

Not the actual location

Great house but feel misled about the actual location. Was told 2 weeks before arriving the location shown on the map was wrong. It showed as 1st house across from beach with nothing blocking a full ocean view. Actual rental is 1.5 miles away with view blocked by house next door and one across the street. I booked this location to be walking distance to a family wedding. Was disappointed to find out the real location. Reason given from the owner did not make sense.

Spent the weekdays enjoying the low key, non- commercial area of the pan handle. Beautiful beach, quiet, but not deserted. Good people, great food and a super place to stay. Equipped with all that you would need at the beach.

Noise from upstairs disturbing but cannot be helped. Cottage was well decorated very nice. 1bedroom no chest of drawers though. TV in bedroom and living room. Air, Ice maker, washer dryer, dishwasher all work like a charm. Outdoor shower was wonderful to have access to. Walk across to beach not bad at all. Also parking on road is permitted. Beach Getaway

This is our 4th or 5th time staying in this beach cottage. We always bring our dogs with us and love that we are only 200 steps from the beach. Barbara is an awesome host and is quick and responsive. The place is always kept clean and is in a nice quiet neighborhood. We will definitely be returning over the years.

Beach is calling!

After a horrible thunderstorm on arrival, the skies cleared. I enjoyed morning coffees on the outdoor patio couch. The beach is just across the street. The unit was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking although I ate out often. Best restaurant is Shipwreck just a block away. The area is very quiet and feels safe.

We enjoy the quietness of st Joe beach. Our host was very kind and helpful. Beach was an easy walk. The outdoor space was very nice and we enjoyed playing corn hole. We loved the beach carts for easy transport of our chairs and umbrella. Would for sure return!
