Two week stay

The place was clean and the deck was wonderful. However, the layout with the Master suite loft is problematic because of noise from the common area if all of the guests are not on the same sleep schedule. Although at check-in it was indicated to us that a TV in a bedroom would be replaced during our stay, it was not.

Relaxing Vacation

This was a great location for a relaxing vacation. The property was well maintained and had all the items that we needed to cook. The decks on the property were ideal for looking at the beach. The beach was very quiet and not crowded. If you are looking for a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the world, this is the place. We stayed 2 weeks.

A Home Away From Home!

We loved our stay at Herring House! It's clean, comfortable, cozy, and is perfectly located on the beach. When we first arrived to Herring House the house smelled strongly of the cleansing solution used. It was highly perfumey and was very overwhelming for us since we have allergies but once we let the windows up and let stay overnight, the fragrance eventually left out. I contacted the owners and they were so quick to respond and try to help. They even checked on us in the morning. I was so thankful for their consideration. That was the only bump we ran into. This house is equipped with pretty much everything and they let you know what to bring. It didn't take long for us to feel like we were home. We were steps away from the beach and had amazing views from every window. We could stay in and relax, go get something to eat (or cook if you want) and enjoy a movie. You seriously go without wanting here. We were extremely impressed with how stocked the kitchen was with equipment and utensils. I'd never seen such thought put into furnishing a kitchen. Our neighbors were sweet too. I enjoyed meeting them. The decorations are so beautiful. I felt I was in paradise and regretted our stay was so short. One of my favorite locations was sitting on the balcony upstairs looking out on the beach. We will love to come back to Herring House - we'll let the windows up. ;)

SUPER CLEAN beautiful house on the beach

This home was one of the best places we have stayed on the beach. It’s right across the street from shipwreck restaurant so easy walk for a dinner. The beach is absolutely beautiful! Even with the red tide this time of year we absolutely enjoyed every second of our stay. The house is well equipped and organized. The beds are so comfortable. This is a huge deal as a lot of time mattresses can be hard or lumpy. The owners of this home have taken great care of this house and really want to make sure you have a great stay!!! The management company is very welcoming and make sure you are checked in with ease. Down town Port St Joe is just down the road with tons of restaurants and shopping! I HIGHLY recommend this as a stay for your perfect beach getaway.
