Lovely cottage in a lovely location

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location, very handy for all the sights, walks and restaurants Skye has to offer. The cottage itself was comfortable, clean and well equipped with salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, dishwasher tablets and washing machine capsules. Thank you we really enjoyed our stay.

Best Stay!

Perfect location to explore Skye! We had an amazing stay - the house was clean, spacious, cozy, convenient, and well-appointed. Loved being right on the water with gorgeous views of Portree and The Storr. 8 minutes to Portree, and easy access to the rest of Skye. Communication was clear and responsive. We explored quite a bit, but my kids said their favourite part of Skye was this cottage. One of the neighbours has sheep that come right to the fence which was pretty exciting for the kids also. We already can’t wait to come back!

I cannot say enough about Shore Cottage— from the location, the view, and the cottage itself— everything was absolutely beautiful, comfortable, and made for a wonderful stay. We really do hope to come back again one day!

Paradise across Portree

We loved our stay here! Very roomy and it was just the four of us. Loved that we could do laundry! Nice and bright, loved the views and the nautical decor. Can't go wrong here!

The home was beautiful, right on the sea! Very clean. I was unable to connect with host for check in information before arriving via text. Was told I had an email but did not. Texted for information but did not respond. Only 1 queen bed.

Beyond Wonderful

Shore Cottage was all we had hoped it would be and more. A lovely home with plenty of room, nice amenities and spectacular views. This three nights was the highlight of our family trip to Scotland and we all really hated to leave.

Ten out of ten!

Shore cottage looked lovely online but was so impressive in person! Very private, safe, clean and cosy with every little thing we could possibly need. It was the perfect base after exploring the island. Loved the beach, loved watching the tide come in and the antics of the birds, and at night looking out for the Aurora. Very helpful and kind host also, would come back in a heartbeat, just loved every minute of my stay there 😊

Great location

We stayed for 5 nights at Shore Cottage and it's the perfect location to launch tours/activities when on Isle of Skye. The place has incredible views looking back to Portree, plenty of room and really has everything you need. Very comfortable and great place overall. The beauty of Scotland is something else.

We’ve never stayed in a more beautiful location and we even extended our stay another night! Beautiful location convenient to downtown Portree and all the hiking we wanted to do.

Ah! The View…

I must say how amazed we were with the view of the water and the changing tide. The accommodations were fantastic, almost every need was at our fingertips. Our host Cat, was so helpful. I highly recommended this cottage to anyone who wants over the top atmosphere.

Best place to escape from workeday life! We felt so relax in this cottage, everything was perfekt ... the situation, the quietness, the cooking place, the absolute comfortable mattresses! We would have stayed longer!
