Not what I expected
Check in was easy but listing stated that there was AC and I didn’t know that it was located only in the bedroom. It was ok in the rest of the dwelling only when the bedroom door was open.
Host responded but was slow with his responses
I was greeted with many bugs and it was a very uncomfortable experience.
I don’t have bugs where I reside and I don’t want to deal with bugs while on vacation when I paid $1k plus. I let the host know about the bugs early on after checking in and he stated that he was surprised because he doesn’t have an issue normally. I submitted an image of pictures taken in the message app, but I don’t believe he was able to view it. When I described the bugs outside of the ants the host stated oh those are just water bugs and they’re annoying but harmless. The fact that he treated the case as lightly as he did was not ideal. I asked about spraying and he stated that he would spray the outside and inside. He asked would I be leaving so that the inside could be sprayed, and I advised not until 5/530ish. I then stated that I could wear my mask and they could enter, but no one came. I was then told that the maid came around 4p something.
I ended up buying my own spray from the supermarket and sprayed around the house, and I was told by the host that they sprayed in the house as well. I still witnessed bugs after the fact and I didn’t feel comfortable to have my luggage open because I didn’t want any of them to follow me home was astounding.
