The view and convenience of this unit is remarkable and cannot be understated! It is literally in the center of town with incredible views of commercial street, the pilgrim monument and town hall (which are lit up at night) and walkable to absolutely everything. The unit itself is massive for a "condo" and it was useful to have 3 separate rooms + massive rooftop deck for everyone to spread out. We had some friends visit for the afternoon and it was all a very spacious gathering area. The bed, futon and inside furniture was all relatively comfortable. We discovered a stackable washer/dryer that we didn't expect, but we didn't end up using it. We intentionally chose this unit for Carnival week because of the views for watching the parade, OMG it was perfect. The front window has the best view of the whole parade, and we could even use the far corner of the rooftop deck to watch the parade from the opening of Ryder Street too, so we could casually walk between both areas of the unit to watch, depending on what we wanted to see. The front window also has a beautiful view of the bay and a small portion of the beach and we sat at the window as much as we could during our stay. There were only a few cons that we picked up on after we got there, but all mostly manageable. First, The other review's comments about the AC are all accurate. The AC in the living room/kitchen space is mediocre and the exhaust from it empties into the washer/dryer closet, which pushes warm air into the bedroom, so we turned it on and off all 5 days trying to manage it, but the absolute best AC is in the lower level with the futon. That one works incredibly, and it would be great to replace the other 2 upstairs with updated ones. The best cool air comes from opening the front windows on the street side. There is a good amount of air circulation and a cool breeze at night, because of the height from being up on the 3rd floor. Second, there is some patio furniture on the rooftop deck, but it's all very cheap and not always stable. There were 2 broken pieces when we arrived, but 1 lounge chair worked great. Third, as everyone mentions there is no on site parking, which is still manageable. The parking lots behind the building are reserved for residents in other surrounding buildings but are not always in use, so we parked for a short time while we quickly unpacked everything and drove up the street to park in the Grace Hall Lot (paid) with only a short walk back to the condo. If you're able to ditch your car for most of your stay and like to walk around town then this unit is a really great choice. Fourth, the whole unit is carpeted and the carpets are in poor condition and stained in various places. Wasn't a problem for us cuz it was easy to walk around in flip flops and slippers the whole time unaffected by it. The kitchen is really useful, but does not come with enough amenities. We had to find an additional kitchen trash bag when our trash got full and had to purchase TP for the bathroom after the 1.5 provided rolls ran out (can be bought for cheap close by at a small convenience store). I recommend brining some plastic cups and straws for drinking, a few more ice cube trays to make your own ice and avoid walking to get it, an extension chord (it'll come in handy when you least expect) and if you have a 4th/5th person that wants their own bed BRING YOUR OWN AIR MATTRESS! I intentionally brought a brand new one because I wanted the 4th person to utilize the living room/kitchen space as an additional 3rd bedroom set up and i'm glad I brought it! The unit has a really old twin sized air mattress thats falling apart, but the new one we brought worked out like a dream and created additional sleeping space. Overall I would highly recommend this unit if you don't mind the low budget amenities provided inside and are an experienced traveler & packer. I was incredibly pleased to stay here and would absolutely stay here again, especially for the unbeatable location an...
