"We checked in around 11:30pm and immediately noticed the property was run down with torn flooring, damaged ceilings, stained furniture and carpet throughout. It felt more like a roadside motel than a hotel, and honestly didn't feel clean enough to stay comfortably. We made the best of it that first night since we arrived so late, but checked out the following morning. Breakfast was disappointing. They had grab-and-go items like muffins, oranges, and yogurt, plus waffle makers, but the eggs and sausage were fridge-cold and burned at the same time, inedible. I wouldn't recommend this property. The one bright spot was hotel staff member Loraine, who made the early checkout process easy and stress-free."

"I had high expectations coming in as I stayed at a Hyatt Place in San Diego in February and was genuinely satisfied. This location was a different story. The room showed clear signs of wear: banged-up walls, a deteriorating cabinet around the fridge, a ripped and stained couch, and a tub that looked dirty. There was no microwave, which was inconvenient. The hot tub I was hoping to use didn't exist, and despite being told the pool was heated, it was freezing. The most unsettling moment came at checkout. I always strip the bed linens for housekeeping, and that's when I found the exoskeleton of an insect. I don't believe it was a bed bug as there were no signs of an infestation, but it was still alarming. To their credit, breakfast was a genuine highlight: scrambled eggs, french toast, turkey bacon, boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, and fruit, with variety rotating daily. However, the serving area was cramped and crowded, they only had half-and-half for coffee (no creamer), and there was no waffle maker which the kids look forward to. The gym was lacking compared to other locations in the brand as it had missing weights and equipment. There is only one laundry room for the entire hotel and it was out of service during our entire stay, which was a real inconvenience. As of writing this review, they have also not yet released the $100 deposit hold. Mediocre overall, especially for the Hyatt brand."

"We enjoyed the location, the room and having a balcony. It was a little rowdier clientele then we are used to lol and there is obviously some work still being done. There was work being done in the room next to us so there was noise during the day and then partiers loud and rowdy at 2 am but overall we had a great trip and we appreciated all the food options that were right on the property. "

"Self contained luxury resort with two buildings. Main building has all the restaurants and 2pools and pool side service. Captiva Tower is a short walk to main lobby . Pickleball & tennis courts available for guests. Spa and Fitness Center available. Excellent breakfast buffet. Courtside Steakhouse offers gourmet meals and $$$ Drinks at resort pricey $18 wine. Excellent accommodating staff. Alex, Diane & Cindy at front desk so helpful and friendly. Downside : Restrooms not located on main pool level. One is up stairs or lobby and other at second pool . Hot water in sink smelled like sulfur. Swap Area around pool has definite odor. ***Resort fee $35 plus $5 taxes, per day . Self Parking $25 , Valet $35 per day . So that is about $65-$70 a day beside room. ***"

"It was ok. Nothing great, nothing terrible. The tv remote didn’t work properly. The breakfast was really good with a great selection of choices. It was close to the Sanibel causeway, that was the most positive thing about it in my opinion. "
