“An ideal spot for single, twenty to middle aged traveler not interested in exterior aesthetics and traveling on a budget. It's an out of the way location in the heart of north Philly but blends in so well with the neighborhood, you'd never believe the quality of it's interior and security. Parking is typical inner city. Set your vanity aside and enjoy it with an open mind.”

“Room - not clean, with previous guest belongings were still all over the room. Cleaners - never came 2hrs after there were scheduled. Owners - of the establishment were highly unprofessional. Urgently requesting for me to cancel/refund my reservation 2hrs after check-in bc they had double booked my reservation and would not be able to house my party of 2 for the weekend. They also specified that there were no refunds and gave me a hard time getting my refund. All in all I would not advise anyone……

“DO NOT STAY HERE. We had booked two bedrooms and the one bedroom was not clean. The bed was not made and the towels were not changed and it smelled horrible in there. We had three people so we had to book a different place to stay for the night. We could not get in contact with the hotel after calling multiple times and communicating with hotels.com as well. They are not refunding us. ”

“This is a wonderful place to stay for the weekend. We stayed only one night and if needed we could have stayed long. Next time we are in Philly we will absolutely stay there again. It’s no frills but doesn’t need to be!”

“The pool area is incredible and the lunch we had was delicious! I love the decor! The few issues we had mostly revolved around untrained staff. Parking is a few blocks away and the bag drop off and pick up was a little challenging.”

“Beautiful, large room wtih tasteful, thoughtfully-selected furniture and amenities. Location was excellent for visiting the historic landmarks. Media system in room was problematic and did not work over the 5-night visit. Efforts to fix it were unsuccessful.”

“Front staff apathetic. The grounds were great, hotel breakfast was fine. The shower needs help in the handicap bathroom in the room we stayed in. Water everywhere. And the shampoo and conditioner where in the wrong bottles”

“Beautiful building and room. We loved the rooftop deck area—very comfortable and inviting. We were ready to make this our new first-choice hotel in Philadelphia until we opened the sofa bed. It was so, so miserably uncomfortable that our daughter left at 11:00 PM to find other accommodations. Claiming that these rooms “sleep four” is false advertising if the sofa bed has a wafer thin mattress over metal bars. I haven’t seen a foldout this bad in a hotel in decades—who even still makes these?……
