Uncomfortable stay

Bedside lamp, dining light and one of the kitchen light were out of work. So, the apartment is very dim and my eyes felt uncomfortable and tired. I think the owner should check everything before new guests check in. Laundry room is dusty and dirty. Disappointed!

太棒了，CP值非常高，地理環境離大教堂及鬧區非常近，附近有粉紅豬超市，可以使用廚房煮食物，免費洗衣烘衣外，房間空間大，女主人很親切!

The location is very good, not far from the main shopping street, but the apartment in the other side of shopping street. Quite and easy to walk to some sign seeing signs. Because we have 3 people to stay in the apartment and we all have suitcase, the apartment looks quite small for us to move it.

Perfect location with a parking spot

Private parking was great. Plenty of clean towels. Bring your own shampoo. It's perfect for 4-5 adults. Kitchen very useful in a city with very expensive restaurants.

Dejlig, lille lejlighed med god beliggenhed!

Vi tilbragte to nætter på Grettisborg Apartments og nød det rigtig meget! Stedet ligger meget centralt i forhold til hovedgaden, som det kun tager 4 minutter at gå ned til, og det samme gælder den modsatte vej, hvis man gerne vil se den fascinerende Hallgrimskirke. Det er rigtig dejligt med en lille lejlighed, hvor man har sit eget køkken med køleskab m.v. Eneste minus i forhold til billederne var, at vi skulle sove 3 personer i lejligheden, og at sovesofaen stod lige for enden af dobbeltsengen. På billederne så det ud til, at der var lidt afskærmning imellem de to senge. Men det var også det eneste dårlige. Ellers var det et rigtig godt sted at bo! Og Island er et skønt sted :-)

Good location, bad for early arrival

Nice apartments in a good location but if your flight gets in early you have to store your luggage at another hotel about 6 blocks from the apartments and then find a way to get them to your apartments later in the day. It is walkable on a nice day (and these are not overly common), but lots of uneven sidewalks. Not ideal for families unless you want to book more than one room. Comfortable and clean though.

Great location and worth the price.

Quiet, safe, clean, great location. Some noise from other apartments (people moving around, doors closing) but overall very quiet. Close walk to downtown and attractions.

Great Central Location to Discover Rejkavik

Nice, modern 1- bedroom apartment close to the center of Reykjavik with Scandinavian charm. Has all the amenities needed for a family of 4 for several days.

Great location, home away from home

Very quiet location, we slept well. We felt safe and secure. I booked this months in advance. I e-mailed ahead to get details of the stay, and they would respond within 1 to two days. A few days before you arrive, they send by email the details of how to get the keys and how to check out. If you plan to rent a car, non-paid parking is not guaranteed, however the street did always have spaces available, but you would likely need to pay. The location itself did not make it necessary for us to rent a car. We stayed for 8 nights. We made this our home base to take bus tours to the far reaches of Iceland. Taxis are a bit pricey, but good service. The apartment was very clean, we had microwave,small fridge with small freezer compartment, oven, hot plates, cutlery, plates, pots and pans, toaster, coffee maker, hair dryer, towels, Satellite TV and very good internet connection. Internet was good and fast and always up. I would stay there again. The cost, while pricey is comparable to all other prices.

Decent apartment, close to Reykjavik main square

Decent apartment to stay for a week in Reykjavik. The apartment is practically on the main street in the city, and is a block away from all restaurants and bars. The main street (Laugavegur) sees a lot of tourism, the neighborhood is fairly safe. Parking is on the street and is paid depending on the timing. We did not have much trouble finding parking.

Very disappointed.

Advertised as comfortable for 4 persons. With luggage we could not move. Did not receive the e-mail telling us how to get in, etc. Must have been sent after we already left US and went to spam. When we finally figured out how to get the key it was listed as #4 apartment but key opened #2. Still not certain we were in the right place. Overall dirty with dead spiders. Too dusty underneath beds to store suitcases. Luckily we were there on weekend so parking turned out ok, but if we were there on weekday would have been quite tricky. Should have been told about this ahead of time. Loved the country and the city and once we got used to the situation and since we were not in the apartment all that much it was doable but by far the worse accommodations we had in Iceland in a 9 day trip.

Centrally located and immaculate!

Basically a small two room efficiency apartment (as we would say in the US). Centrally located. Easy walk to main shopping streets and Reykjavik sites. No staff on site but received emails with good instructions on how to find our key and let ourselves in. The apartment also had a binder of all the useful information you could want. Free wifi and satellite tv. While channel surfing we ran across three adult chat channels featuring naked women so parents be vigilant. Probably a great vacation memory for our teenage son. Bed in main bedroom (two twins pushed together) was super comfortable and the second bed in the kitchen/dining room/main room was a futon that was fairly comfortable. Plenty of bedding and towels supplied. Apartment was very clean. Both of the two major tour bus companies and airport shuttle do pickups and drop offs here. It's a small place (we had apt #4) but for sleeping and showering it was just fine. Separate laundry room on site. Can be a little noisy when other guests come and go in the middle of the night but Reykjavik in the summer is known for early and late arrivals due to the flight schedules so you make due. We would stay here again.

Combined business and vacation. Not inexpensive but nothing in Iceland is inexpensive for Americans. Nice quiet residential neighborhood just two blocks of the main shopping street. Excellent location for tourists: an easy walk to all the tourist activities in the historic downtown Reykjavik area. Full service kitchen. Supermarket is 2 blocks away. Excellent blackout drapes to keep out midnight sunlight in the summer. Free use of washer and dryer. Airport shuttles drop off/pick up directly to address.

Close to everything in Reyjavik

Loved our stay at Grettisborg apartments. We only had one problem in our stay and that was a broken washing machine but the owners replaced it within 1/2 hour of me contacting them. Nothing was too much trouble. the room was excellent. Only one complaint, i hated the shower setup in our apartment - cannot say if they are all the same. 2 shower heads but one was broken and wouldnt stay in position and bathroom was tiny. But overall a nice place and very comfortable beds.
