「Noise from within the hotel during the night. Thin walls? When the fire alarm sounded in the night, guests gathered at the front of the hotel. It was quite some time before any staff appeared to offer guidance and explanations. The 'Deluxe Queen Room' on arrival was nothing like the picture when booked. The lack of a shower was strange: the bath mixer taps were extremely temperamental.」

「Great 17th century hotel/pub full of history and character. Our room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. We had an on suite and this was a good size. We only had breakfast but it was lovely and the service was great. We only stayed here to break a journey up but we’re really glad we did. Would definitely stay here again.」
