“Pros. Nice view, courteous staff, relatively clean and comfortable accommodations. The host provided breakfast items to allow guests to prepare their own breakfast. Cons. 1. Not really set up as a true glamping experience. 2. Location in Expedia map is not correct. The property is actually located before the town of El Penol. 3. After we arrived, a house right next door began playing extremely loud music which started at 8 pm until around 4 am in the morning. It was so loud sleep was……

“Overall, I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area. It’s a wonderful balance of comfort, convenience, and great hosting. A great choice for both short trips and longer stays.”

“We stayed for 5 nights and everything about our stay exceeded expectations. The view was great and of course every part of our room and the hotel was spotless and the food was top chef quality. But beyond all of that, the entire staff went far above and beyond to provide us with the best possible time at Arvum Hotel Botique. That includes the dog and parrot. What a wonderful time we all had.”

“Hotel Chromatic is a colorful, clean hotel. Located in the heart of Guatape, the hotel provided us good breakfast each morning, a nice hot shower, and friendly staff. Though the room didn't have a coffee pot or refrigerator, the coffee bar downstairs made good coffee and lattes, and my wife loved the hour massage on site--a paid option from their spa.”

“The views are stunning, but a few details could be improved, especially for what seems to be a luxury stay. Some parts of the room felt a bit worn. The curtains were falling apart, and the kitchen light bulb hung so low that I kept hitting my head on it. The staff could also be a bit more welcoming, and the breakfast left room for improvement, as the bread was hard on both mornings. The room service meals were tasty, although quite expensive, like most things at the hotel, but I can understand……

“Never again, visited for the weekend. Disappointed, if you are looking for food options, the breakfast buffet was lame. They had Colombian rice with beans , soup, and potatoes, breads, fruits, but rice and beans at a Hotel Called The Brown??? For breakfast??? Not only that but 80% of the people eating were with guest bracelets and were locals which were young men with women that had fake butts. The staff not very friendly typically and not on top of the guest as you would think in a place like……

“The hotel is no where near where it is advertised, the listing shows it right in Guatape and a 3 minute walk to the square. It is a 30 minute walk to the square! The hot tubs never had water in them. The staff was unfriendly and barely acknowledged you when you came and went. When we got off the bus we walked to the advertised location to discover it was not there, it took at least a half an hour to find the hotel location and another half an hour to walk there. FALSE ADVERTISING!”
