Puerto Peñasco Rodeo Drive Cholla Mall Curios Hotels

"I made reservations through Expedia. I drove 10 hours to the hotel and when I arrived I was told that "it didn't matter if I had a reservation or not the hotel was completely book with no rooms available". I asked what am I suppose to do now and rather than suggest another hotel he shrugged his shoulders and said "I don't know" There were workers working on the hotels sign outside and we asked them since we are in a foreign country and my handle on spanish was limited we tried driving around looking for a hotel and visited 2 before we found Penasco Del Sol who were more than accommodating, although I had to spend an extra $1000 that I hadn't planed for and we had to cut out vacation from 9 days down to 5 days. I am very disappointed in Hotel Vista Marina and Expedia that they both allowed this to happen."

"Beautiful property. Clean room. However its a bit Overpriced for what you get. They tried to overcharge me for the "hotel fee" immediately upon check in. Just be prepared to over pay for everything and be hounded over and over by relentless vendors when you're relaxing on the beach. The town of Puerto Peñasco is in rough shape, and reminded me of the dirty sketchy side streets of ghetto Tijuana. But hey.. it's Mexico "

"Friendly. For the cost of the condominium there is no plus reception, it is very austere, the conditions of some things such as towels do not have that plus, they are not washed with fabric softeners, they look like sandpand, the air conditioning was blocked, not even courtesy water has, the soap for four people is not enough, the soap is generic, it does not have a plus which is what is expected from a diamond condominium, the soap to wash is powder, it is not even in pod that is what one thinks they would give, there is a coffee maker and it does not have a courtesy coffee, everything would be very good if there was a decent bath soap !!"

"I really loved this place. Two complaints, the first was that they need at least one more restaurant on site. The sushi restaurant was absolutely fantastic but you don’t want to eat sushi ever night. My biggest complaint was all of the lawn on this property. You weren’t allowed to walk on it anyway which was ridiculous, and having lush green lawn in that climate is so stupid. The amount of water, fertilizer and labour required to maintain that is just stupid. That lawn should be replaced by xeriscape with local plants, vegetation and rocks which would be so beautiful and require little to no maintenance. Since you can’t walk on the lawn, this wouldn’t affect the customer’s use of these spaces. That much unusable lawn is so ridiculously stupid. Other than that, I really loved my stay there and that pool complex is unlike anything that I’ve ever experienced!! It was out of this world fantastic!!"
