“Alice who owns the property goes above and beyond what she needs to do she knows every guest by there 1st name had a meal in the Cantonese restaurant (which alice runs) on Friday and the food was 1st class breakfast there a choice a good choice all the staff are very friendly beds very comfortable and clean , showers nice and hot decor could do with a up date but to be honest I wasn’t there to look at the decor there was a group of 6 and we would definitely go back ”

“Our stay at the Golden Fleece was great! Easy check-in, lovely room. Food in the evening was great but we didn't have breakfast so can't comment. Easy walkable distance to James Herriot’s house. Parking very easy and felt secure! All in all very nice.”

“We opted for breakfast in our room and enjoyed the options we received, especially the pancakes. Everything was spotless and all the staff we welcoming and helpful. There was a cafe option as well as the restaurant which was nice.”
