“Great central location though tricky to find as it is in an alley around a corner and half way up hill. Facilities are dated and room fairly small though nicely fitted. Breakfast is in small windowless room next to spacious empty bar area (continental ok, fairly pricy cooked options). Staff quite nice. Busy car park in middle of hotel and you have to walk around vehicles to access the rooms which have outdoor corridors. Price is reasonable for the area which is largely dead at night which may……

“The room has lovely sea views but the carpet is heavily stained and the decor generally quite tired. The room was also incredibly hot despite being offered a fan by the helpful staff. It is a great hindrance that the windows cannot be opened more than a few inches. For a hotel of this reputation and in this price range, air conditioning should be incorporated throughout.
