"The room I was assigned had a faulty AC/Thermostat, it would not go below 74 degrees. The front desk sent a repairman that said the thermostats are starting to go bad and did an override to control on the unit itself. Within 5 mins of him leaving, the AC unit turned completely off. I asked the front desk for a room change, as it was in the middle of a heat wave and we selected this hotel specifically because we knew it was a newer property (there is slim pickings in Sandusky for hotels that dont fall into 'motel' category). The front desk moved us to another room, which was a larger suite, which was not needed, but appreciated. The AC worked fine in the new room, and the rest of the stay was completely fine! Hopefully they repair the first room, and proactively repair/replace thermostats if they are starting to go bad."
