it is 12 min from airport. it is a perfect place to stay with oportunity of swimming in the sea, spa, good food and totally relaxing before going back.

This property is a beautiful place to come and relax near the ocean. The adults only portion is quiet and well maintained. No music played at the pool area, just the noise of the nearby sea. Breakfast was good and served at the scenic restaurant overlooking the water. The spa was beautiful and relaxing with views of the ocean from the Finish and Bio spa, with a Turkish bath also there. Yes, free hotel parking can be difficult to find as it is limited. Paid street parking was widely available for 0.40/hour 0800-1900. Our other complaint was that the pillows and sheets had a musty smell, as noted in other reviews. Not sure if it's how they dry the linens. Overall a beautiful property to relax at with good dining options within walking distance.

Great stay

This place was very clean, modern, and had a great breakfast. Very quiet and beautiful views. Definitely book a spa appointment ahead of your reservation, as they were al booked up while we were there and the prices were quite reasonable. Skip dinner in their restaurant - the food was just okay if not overcooked and there are delicious and affordable, local restaurants in the area. Great stay!

No parking in the resort, only 7 minutes away walking uphill, most uncomfortable with suitcases even if you dropped off the suitcases you would still need to walk the distance and pay. I dislike separate beds in a couples room Tough toilet paper No shampoo conditioner supplied, only a kind of soap 1 small chocolate bar in the room, for 2.5 euros, not fun or enough Receptionist quite unkind, makes no effort to be kind or friendly

It was a disaster of a stay yo say the least, the first night of our stay the A/C was not working to which the staff response was that they will try to get it addressed the next day, the following night we come back to a pitch dark hot room with no electricity. Do not book this hotel

Très bien situé face à l'océan, notre chambre bénéficiait d'un balcon avec vue imprenable.. Le calme certainement dû à notre présence en basse saison, nous a permis de savourer le statu "adults only" de l'établissement.

Das Zimmer hatte direkten Meerblick, allerdings hinter dem - eher kleinen - Meerwasser Pool. Das Bett war hervorragend bequem. Die Einrichtung qualitativ einwandfrei. Der Stil etwas zwischen boutique und Ikea. Die Wege im Hotel sind aufgrund der Steilküste etwas umständlich. Der Frühstücksraum ist sehr schön über dem Antlantik gelegen. Er ist jedoch nur über lange Korridore und Lifte zu erreichen. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Buena estancia

La estancia ha sido buena, la habitación estaba limpia, el baño es de buen tamaño, sin embargo la habitación es más pequeña y falta sitio para poder poner maletas, una mesa interior... La piscina muy tranquila y con acceso a otra piscina con acceso al mar, aunque estaba llena de gente y niños. No pudimos disfrutar del desayuno porque tuvimos que irnos pronto y nos dieron una caja con desayuno para llevar, un poco escaso y sin ningún café. Los horarios de cierre de piscina, cena... son muy justos para un lugar de vacaciones. Aunque estuvimos bien, dudo de si volvería a repetir este hotel.

Mitigé, situation en bord de mer, avec accès mer très sympa. Chambre mignonne, mais petite pour madère et cette gamme de prix. Chambre payé à la réservation pas forcément respecté. « Parking » dans la rue pas top… intérêt du « spa » que je me demande également. Petit déjeuner sur la mer sympa.

Lovely setting, quiet area.

Lovely hotel with outstanding views. Beds were very comfortable and room well presented with balcony. Breakfast was good, with outdoor seating overlooking the ocean. But there is not much to do in the local area and it's a €20 taxi to Funchal, where there is everything.

Excellent spa hotel, relaxing atmosphere, great spa and facilities, loved the breakfest by the sea. Lesser points, the complex is large and confusing, check in is after 5pm in another hotel which was very confusing, charging 3,8euro for tapwater

Fantastic stay. We had one night of our honneymoon in this hotel. They gave as an upgrade to ar room with a very large terracce (approx 40 sqm) with fantastic wiew. Good location with easy access to snorkling with a lot of underwater life and good visibility in water. Highly recommended hotel. 7 out of 5 stars.

Great chill out spot overlooking the sea. The hotel is great, and rooms and hotwl staff spot on. All bar one restaurant staff are great. It is a shame they don't lift the standard of the restaurant to match the hotel and its fantastic location

Comfortable and modern hotel directly by the see

The hotel is newly refurbished and very nice and comfortable. But, it is not adults only, even if it it presented so on hotels.com Room is spacious,modern,clean and comfotable. Spa area is free and luxuary. Atlantis restaurant and bar has breathteaking view on the ocean and the food and drinks are very good. The only downlight of this hotel is the staff. Nobody offered us the dinners, we were just lucky that the waiter in the restaurant asked us if we were on the half board,so we went back to the reception and ask if they offer halfboard... The staff in the restaurant is generaly a problem also. The guys are ok, and one young girl called Ana was brilliant (the only one who was also comming to the pool to ask people if the want to order some drinks, very helpfull and polite every time she was there), but the older women were rude and showing no interest - they let us stay at the desk waiting for seating even if there were few people in the restaurant and they never ask od we want to order more drinks,etc... Another problem is that there is no reception at night in this hotel and some guest were drunk (and loud) almost every night. this was annoying because I want to rest on holiday and sleep after midnight without beeing avakened many times every night... Generally this is superb hotel but this details take it down. If they solve this I will recommend it to visit to everybody.
